    Talk about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night!
    It's airing on Vh1, Saturday (March 19), 9:00 PM PST (8:00 PM Central)

    Well... I'm actually excited to watch this year's inductees...
    Why? Well, I can't wait to see U2 get inducted and play one of their songs... >.>;; I saw a preview of it in the news and I saw that they were actually playing "Ultraviolet" (from Achtung Baby) ... I can't believe it... they're actually playing my favorite song!!! O___O;; (of all their songs... they played my favorite!!1 YAY!)
     
    I saw it on the news.The morning before the morning after and just 3 hours ago.You must be very happy that U2 got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.I know how much you love that band ^__^.It is a big now since it happened in the state I live in.

    I also saw the announcement on TV and on the internet.
     
    Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly does being inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame do to a band? Is there some sort of award, or is it just really recognition for what a rock band has done over the years? o_O

    Well, both really.A band must be very good to make it into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.U2 now joins many legendary bands.Legendary bands are legendary for a reason.They pu their heart and soul into their music.They try their best and had long hours of practice.You must remember that all bands start out small.And as Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day said at the Grammy Awards, if your in a band you should appretiate where you stand as a band.Even if you've just started, hey, at least your somewhere.
     
    Great quote. I think (and i'm sorry to push green day on you guys, i know only a few people liek them here) but I think they have some of green days stuff in the RAR hall of fame. (like the drumset that Tre lit on fire etc.)

    The fact that U2 got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was a big in your face to those people who said that U2 sucks in my school... X3

    I'm quite happy for them, they worked hard, and they really deserved it. ^o^; They are one of my all-time favorite bands! =] And what is really nice is that they got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame right around St. Patrick's Day. ~origin
     
    a hohoho a band from my school( Vally Minstrals) are going to do some concert that will get them in the rock and roll hall of fame i forgot when it waz thou XD

    Lol...
    I dunno... Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a lifetime acheivement award. Most of the bands/singers that get inducted here have been around for like... 20 years and above...
     
    I could not have picked a better band to get into the Hall of Fame ;3 ~origin
     
    I guess it wasn't really that surprising. You know, I never realised they've been around that long!
     
    25 years to be exact... I've been listening to them ever since I was a kid...
    Joshua Tree... Achtung Baby... memorable albums of my childhood... ^__^
