I have something I want to discuss
    ;

This morning around 3:10am in New York. I woke up with a dozen scratches on my arm, All bleeding. Now I am not sure but maybe it has to do with the dream I had. I was in a one of those death traps like in the movie Saw. (I'm pretty sure you know the movie) Well I escaped, but not until my arm was completely covers with barbed wire. Weirdly I felt the pain in the dream OUCH. Well the scratches are on the exact place where I got hurt when I'd woken up. The same thing happened two night ago as well. Honestly I'm a bit scared but more confused.

Am I going to keep getting hurt?

Yeah, same sort of thing has happened to me aswell.
I dreamt a glass smashed and I picked it up and I cut all over my hand and when I woke up I had cuts in the same places. Only happened once and I have a cat who likes to attack me, so I have something to pin the blame on.

But I have no idea what it is. I guess sometimes its just you hurt yourself in real life, and then because you're in pain your brain tries to make it make sense and changes your dream?

But I dont know. Seek proffesional help? Sounds like this could get bad.

... Maybe you scratched with your fingers in place in your dream?

I really dunno. Check a Pro.

Then, as I understand about these things, you're probably scratching yourself in your sleep, or something/one else is.
Would help if you could take a picture of these cuts, preferrably fresh; I doubt any PC members, let alone ones that see this, are trained in any medical field, but it would help myself at least make something out of it. But as a person adverse to being photographed myself I understand if you don't want to put a picture up.

Also I wouldn't personally rule out a paranormal consideration, but I'd know nothing of what to do.

When you're asleep, your body doesn't completely go limp, or whatever you want to call it...

Especially in NREM sleep, your eyes can remain open even, and you can see things, but still are actually sleeping (this doesn't happen to very many people). That being said, what you described isn't that uncommon. Often times, our body and mind incorporates things from when they occur.

Say I turn over in my sleep, to which point my left arm falls asleep, because I'm laying on it. Thus it has happened where people will experience a similar sort of feeling in the dream, of course also assuming they remember the dream itself.

I wouldn't get too worked up about it however, and as long as you aren't stressed, taking medication, or fatigued, you should be fine. Of course if it does persist, or truly are concerned definitely see a doctor.

    Reminds me of this.

    Wikipedia said:
The release of certain neurotransmitters, the monoamines (norepinephrine, serotonin and histamine), is completely shut down during REM[citation needed]. This causes REM atonia, a state in which the motor neurons are not stimulated and thus the body's muscles do not move. Lack of such REM atonia causes REM Behavior Disorder; sufferers act out the movements occurring in their dreams.

    Might very well be that.

I've had a Saw dream. But, I was Jigsaw, not the victims. Well, then I had another where I was in Saw Five. We shoved like five people into one of them tunnels. Like one person died, but the rest of made it to the end. I'd never be able to put my hand in the saw blade :<. I'd use the dead's persons body and use their blood :/

To answer your question, there is nothing to be afraid of. I mean, unless the scratches were like the length of you arm and really deep. It probably scraped against something while you were sleeping.

Paranormal phenomena is always answer, and as cool at it'd be, it is very unlikely.

Thank you all. I didn't realize, but my bed was the one doing the scratches. I changed my bed last night and I was perfectly when I woke up. But I thank you all for helping me. ^_^ You guys rocks.
