Standard set messed up. If you have Leech Seed then you need Substitute as well, it's not an alternative situation. -.-

I believe the really standard set is:

    Leaf Blade
    Hidden Power [Ice/Fire]
    Substitute
    Leech Seed

Most probably with maximized Speed. I'm not sure about the nature, though, could be either Timid or Modest. I'm assuming Timid, though, since outspeeding is crucial for Sceptile's survival.

Yes, it's Timid, also since good Hidden Powers are nearly impossible to get in-game, Thunderpunch works as a substitute for HP.

Max Speed on Sceppy and a good amount of Special Attack, and even some HP if you want. T-punch/Leaf Blade/Sub/Leech Seed of course like AB said. Just mainly giving some EV advice.

Also, nice to see you guys. I see familiar and unfamiliar users and I hope I gt a thorough oppertunity to learn about the new users.

    Have a good day.

Give it like solar beam! Or hyper beam!

Errr, no just no. Hyper Beam isn't good on Sceptile because Sceptile has little Atk. Anyway, Hyper Beam is a bad move because you need to recharge after you use it. There are much better options of a grass move on Sceptile than Solar Beam. Take for instance, Leaf Blade, the best grass move so far, does more damage than solar beam, take a look.

    70 * 2 = 140

    120 * 2 / 2 (because of charging up on first turn) = 120

As you can see, Leaf Blade, is more powerful and has the added bonus of having a high critical hit ratio.

I don`t like two-turn moves like Solarbeam and moves to leave you immobile like Hyper Beam.

I agree. It leaves you vulnerable to attacks.. and also, it wastes time. hahas. and yes, I am an impatient trainer I must say..
