What does everyone think that Serena & Ash should have started a relationship you could tell Serena had fells for each other with Ash giving Serena the Blue Ribbon and him supporting serena with her performances. Even at the end with Serena kissed Ash before leaving for Hoenn Ash knew he had feelings for serena but nothing happen.
The same happen in there reunion in Pokemon Journeys at the end of the episode Ash and Serena reunion for the first time and it's like ash has forgotten his feeling's for Serena. All he says to Chloe and Goh she a really good friend.
In the performance in that episode Serena is wearing the blue ribbon on her left ankle which means there lover or fiancé. secretly there in a relationship.
That blue ribbon that Serena has on her ankle is a reminder that she is already engaged to someone and that someone is Ash
