Faces Serperior with a Grass Tera for the next 7-star raid. Runs on September 20-22 and 27-29. What solo strategies are you thinking?
    __________

Telegraphed the game clearly: Leaf Storm + Contrary. Understands why. Learns these offensive moves:
    • Flying: Aerial Ace
    • Normal: Several, including Body Slam, Giga Impact, and Hyper Beam
    • Grass: A whole bunch, including Leaf Blade and Leaf Storm.
    • Dragon: Twister, Dragon Tail, Scale Shot, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Pulse, Outrage
    • Dark: Knock Off
    • Steel: Iron Tail

Severely limits its coverage option. Learns a lot of other annoying moves, however: Growth, Coil, Gastro Acid, Reflect, Light Screen, Grassy Terrain, Taunt, Swords Dance, Calm Mind, Glare, and Mirror Coat. Really hopes for a raid without a boosting move on its main set. Doubts it, even with Contrary as the main ability.

Guesses something like Leaf Storm, Dragon Pulse, Aerial Ace/Body Slam/Knock Off, and Coil. Expects a Turn 1 Gastro Acid to stop the Unaware and Sap Sipper Pokemon. May even go all-in on Grass and put up Grassy Terrain immediately.
    ______

    Some ideas:
    • Hisuian Goodra: Likely only uses Gastro Acid on one Pokemon, if at all. Reset until you do not lose Sap Sipper. Shrug off the rest with Iron Defense. Probably wants to go with Body Press, due to Acid Spray being worthless.
    • Tinkaton: Good typing and Skill Swap. Removes the threat of Leaf Storm stacking boosts.
    • Galarian Weezing: Stops Contrary without any chance of an immediate Tera Shield ruining things. Nullifies any Dragon move (at least until Terastallizing). May wish to consider a slow strategy of Clear Smog and Curse. Keeps Coil in check. Packs Gunk Shot, in that case.
    • Skeledirge: Torch Song and go. Needs to watch out for Knock Off and Gastro Acid, of course.

Wanted to say Alcremie for Decorate versus Contrary. Probably boosts Leaf Storm off you and your partners, wiping away your progress. Wonders if a place for Scovillain and Spicy Extract exists.

Skeledirge with Ability Shield, Torch Song, Protect, and Slack Off might be good.

Malamar with Suction Cups and Skill Swap could be funny.

Venomoth quad resists Grass and has Skill Swap as well, could be funny. Skill Swap, Struggle Bug, Acid Spray, Bug Buzz? Assuming special-attacking Serperior.

    Defeated Serperior with this Mew.

    Mew
    Nature: Hasty
    Ability: Synchronize
    Tera: Bug
    Item: Metronome
    EV's: 252 HP, 252 Atk
    - Struggle Bug
    - Leech Life
    - Skill Swap
    - Swords Dance

Use Skill Swap on turn 1, use Struggle Bug until you can terastalize, after that use Leech Life. If you're lucky and get hit by Gastro Acid, you can use Swords Dance to get rid of attack debuffs.

Wound up with a pretty easy moveset: Leaf Storm, Dragon Pulse, Gastro Acid, and Iron Tail. Uses Sweet Scent (at the start) and Glare (late). Gives you a few turns to suppress the ability before raising the Tera Shield. Clears your buffs early once, then never again. Removes its debuffs later. Ditto for a Tera Orb charge steal.

One big annoyance: Iron Tail's 30% Defense drop. Strung together multiple Defense drops in a row. Increases the damage to respectable amounts. (Note: Modest Serperior with its awful base 75 Attack.)

Tried for the mega disrespect with Golduck. Outspeeds Serperior by a few points if you max out its Speed Effort Values with a neutral nature. Sneaks in a Simple Beam before getting obliterated by Leaf Storm. Problem: Cannot hit Serperior hard enough with Ice Beam (as Tera: Water) at +6. Do not expect much help from teammates on Special Defense drops either, due to Drifblim favoring Air Slash, Umbreon probably using Dark Pulse, and Arboliva amping up Leaf Storm even more. (Mainly took Iron Tails, though. Lacked an Intimidate partner in the Golduck trial, admittedly.)

Beat it with Leavanny. Ate Leaf Storm for breakfast. Stopped Contrary by using Entrainment. Used Struggle Bug a few times before fainting. Went up to +6 with Swords Dance. Crushed it with Lunges. Probably should have Lunged earlier, but oh well. Finished with plenty of time left. Even got unlucky on the Glare.

Bets on Grumpig being able to do this with a moveset of Simple Beam, Calm Mind, Stored Power, and Mud-Slap/Shadow Ball. Did not feel like leveling and EV training one.

Ended up using the Delphox strat that a few YouTubers posted.

    Delphox
    Held Item: Shell Bell
Modest, max HP and SAtk. Blaze
    - Skill Swap
    - Overheat
    - Mystic Fire (should be Flamethrower)
    - Protect (should be Nasty Plot in case you lose Contrary)

Great idea! I used my built out Tera Bug Mew used for a prior raid. I was able to squeeze in two Swords Dance while under Gastro Acid and that really made a difference. I was able to solo Serperior quickly.
