No a lot of people ask if shellder attaches to a slowpoke's tail or head does that mean it's evolved. I've been thinking that maybe it's just a form of shellder.
So, do you think that a remoraid that's a attached to a mantine could be just another form too?

Not really. The Remoraid have a mutual relationship together; the Remoraid clean underneath the Mantine while the Mantine is kind of their security guard, and the Remoraid look just like any other Remoraid would, so I don't consider it a new form. The Shellder/Slowpoke relationship is just an evolution for Slowpoke, however, I guess you could see the funky, spiky shell on Slowbro as a different form of Shellder.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remora

Remoras are commonly found attached to sharks, manta rays, whales, turtles, and dugong (hence the common names sharksucker and whalesucker). Smaller remoras also fasten onto fish like tuna and swordfish, and some small remoras travel in the mouths or gills of large manta rays, ocean sunfish, swordfish, and sailfish.

That's where Remoraid comes from. It really doesn't change form at all. A remoraid on a Mantine and a Remoraid by itself look exactly alike. They're two different Pokemon, even when attached, just like how a remora and a shark are still two different animals.

Shellder and Slowbro is a different story. They merge into one Pokemon. Without Shellder, Slowbro would not be slowbro (whereas without Remoraid, Mantine would still be Mantine).

I believe that that Shelder on a Slowpoke's tail is how it evolves without a Water Stone.

Yellow's Pokedex Entry for Slowbro said:
Lives lazily by the sea. If the Shellder on its tail comes off, it becomes a Slowpoke again.

That implies that the Shellder is still a Shellder, even though it has a different shape. So it's more a form change than an evolution for the Shellder.

Umm, I remember buying SLOWPOKETAILs from some guy in Mahogany town, and I tried to feed it to my shellder. Appearantly, Shellder doesn't change form that way...

    1. Shelder isn't that fat.
    2. Shelder doesn't grow epic spikes.
    3. Why would shelder bite a tail when it evolves into some epicz cloyster.

The Pokedex calls it a Shellder even in the games. Same thing with Slowking's "Hat" :/ The eyes are on the back of Slowking's head.

One has to note that Slowking's Shellder is similar to, but not the same as, Slowbro's Shellder. The most notable difference is the Jewel encrusted into it.

So there are actually 3 Variations of Shellder:

-Normal Shellder, whom is a Bivakve and Evolves into Cloyster with Water Stone
-Slowbro Shellder, which has a Spiral Shell and "Evolves" from Normal Shellder by biting a Slowpoke's tail
-Slowking Shellder, which instead attaches to a Slowpoke's head and is nearly identicle to the Slowbro Shellder, though there are differences such as the Jewel on it.

    1. It's a form of shellder.
    2. Yes it does.
    3. So it can move on land.
