3rd Gen Shiny Pokemon Starters

I have been trying to find shiny pokemon for it seems like now... forever. I looked on lots of threads and people have been having more luck finding shiny starterssuch as bulbasaur, charmander, and squirtle. I also heard of people finding shiny Zubat more common. Is this true or is this invalid information?

It's neither true nor false. It's luck. Everytime you receive/hatch/run into a Pokemon, it's a 1/8192 chance of it being shiny. People spend hours, days, weeks, or months restarting their game to get a shiny starter. Same goes for all the other shiny Pokemon people get, except the restarting part.
