    Wow, I really dont know, except that they are from Japan. The first anime's I've ever seen are "My Neighbore Totoro" and "The Little Mermaid". Sad ending in that one.

    Heh, and actually, if you want the continent that anime comes from, that would be Asia. ;p
     
    Because I read helva lot XD This is just all tidbits I've gathered over the years...Plus I got me a book called the Manga and Anime bible...HUGE book more or less detailing all of Japanese animation history...I'm not ever a third of the way done on it O-o;

    Cool, where did you get it? I read some random things, but it was mostly about cartoons, and there wasn't much about Japanese anime in it. Ramiko Takahashi was in there though, lol, and Speedracer!
