5th Gen Should there be an improved Battle Subway?

    The Battle Subway serves as a good practice area for players who wants to excel on their skills. There are some things I don't like about the Battle Subway today. Because of having access to it early in the game, the Normal lines limit to only Unova Pokemon for the CPU and the Multi-Line partner (Hilda/Hilbert) lacks a lot of Pokemon due to having only Unova Pokemon and no legendaries, not even the Unova starters. Do you think the Battle Subway should be improved in B2/W2? Discuss.
     
    I want it so you gain levels in the Subway. Never figured why you could not
     
    Well @ above, that's what the Sports Domes are, otherwise @ Subway it'd be waaay too easy. Plus the Subway is meant to be like the Frontier, etc, which you can't level up within.

    As for improving it, I think you'll actually get to see visuals/cutscenes of where you're travelling to once you defeat a certain amount of trainers. Definitely would make me wanna use it at least. ;x
     
    I like the idea of cutscenes, and I'd rather if GameFreak improved the Battle Subway instead of implementing the frontier back in for one reason. ...RS Remakes should be the ones to get it. :B Unless they decide to put in frontiers for all of them, I'd be fine with that though. But I would definitely like for them to make the Battle Subway more enjoyable and improve from the one we have currently. It was and is a good idea for Unova to have one, so why not make it even better?

    Though what if they removed the Battle Subway and put something in completely different just to switch things up a bit? Not a frontier nor a subway.

    Oh, boy, if they did that, will whatever they're replacing the Subway with be better or not? I wish they changed up the trainer rosters like they did for the Battle Tower when Platinum came out.

    I liked the Battle Subway just how it was.
    I say it should stay the same. :)
     
    The Subway's most glaring omission is triple and rotation battles; I would hope their addition to be the first improvement.
    I also miss rental battles from the Frontier's Battle Factory.
     
    Get rid of the CPU's hax luck and random legendaries showing up on opposing teams. Having random Subway/Frontier battlers with legendary Pokemon always seemed to go against game storyline canon to me.

    I'd also like to see multiple Team Battle partners so you're not stuck with just pairing up with your character's male/female counterpart. Variety is the spice of life, after all. And maybe Pokemon from the other generations can make an appearance on your partner's roster.
     
    I think I can see the Battle Subway as a Battle Frontier of some sort in the next game. What I mean is that each of the subway cars can have different challenges placed on them (such as renting Pokemon like the Battle Factory or battling under certain conditions).

    I strongly agree here because it'll add more fun. Besides, the partners should have Pokemon that specify in stats like in Gen IV. For example, Mira goes for Sp. Atk, Marley goes for Speed, Buck goes for Def & Sp. Def, Cheryl goes for HP and Riley goes for Attack. Now that I think of it, those 5 SHOULD be included.
     
    ^ a lot of Unova's pokemon are glass cannon's though...there might be a lack of pokemon for Buck...

    I'll like them to make it so that one can link up with friends though wi-fi like one could in the Battle frontier of Sinnoh/Johto. They could also try chaning the music...I found it not as exciting as previous facilities.
     
    Yeah me too... it's not as thrilling as I thought. Buck has a good line of Pokemon already. If he was there, Gigalith and Ferrothorn are definitely a must have on his roster.
     
    I want them to add the Battle Frontier but I doubt there will be now because they showed the subway in the anime.

    Only a year after release and 200+ hour in the game do I understand the potential fun of Rotation Battles, but there are ZERO places in the game to experiment with Rotation battles.

    We Need a Rotation Stadium. (Smogon has this drawing of a rotation battle happening on top of a Claydol's head which makes me laugh so hard.)

    Not a fan of triple battles though, it's just a less good variant of Double Battles. (though, you could at least include them for other people that might like them.)

    Nononono. Subways are essential to the theme of New York, they're very iconic and it was really great that they took them and made them into something in the game. In fact, I want an expanded subway; one that can be used for travel before you get Fly, or even like a Royal Unova where you can look at the view or battle if you want. Instead of a Frontier, a Battle Station, that looks like Grand Central; you can ride trains or maybe do something food-related in the station.

    Just like we all know there will be one third game, and we all know it'll be called Grey, and we all know the mascot will be basic Kyurem or a Kyurem with one other form? Don't take anything for granted this generation, we're in undiscovered territory. Nothing is "obvious". Besides, all the other ones were named the Battle Tower to the Battle Frontier, but this one isn't a Battle Tower. It's a Battle Subway. Unlike the Tower, it has a ton of ways it can expand without rehashing old ideas.

    Personally I want a transportation frontier...(Scott returns to make a transport theme of his frontier?)
    I also think they should add Triple and Rotation battles...they showed up so little in the game...hopefully they will fix that in the third version by adding two trains based on those battle types. Maybe they can even add one that uses items like the launch thing in wi-fi battles.
