Shuckle Moveset?

Somebody's got to have done this before, there's no way I'm the first... But I haven't found any info on it on google. Or maybe Shuckle's banned.

After noticing Shuckle's disgustingly high defense (max defense is around 550) and seeing that it could learn Power Trick (switches Attack and Defense), I figured I could abuse this to destroy things. How does this look?

    Shuckle @ ???
    Adamant (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
    185 HP, 69 ATK, 493 DEF, 20 SPATK, 461 SPDEF, 29 SPD
    -Power Trick
    -Rest
    -Earthquake
    -Safeguard

Reason I chose the +Attack nature is so that when I power trick I have a better chance of not getting one-shotted before I can Earthquake, then Power Trick back to tank mode and Rest up. Safeguard's there because with such high defense the only way I can see something with so much Defense and Special Defense getting killed is from poison or burn.

According to PsyPoke's calculator, if the Shuckle shown here were to Power Trick -> Earthquake, and it say, were to hit a Blissey (chosen for its low defense to maximize dramatic effect) it should deal an average of 768 damage per hit.

You forget, you'll also give him abmysal defence. One hit KO, by even the most weakest moves. But your right, it could have some power attack. So how aboit this:

    Safeguard
    Stone Edge
    Power Trick
    Sandstorm

Although it vhas high def, is has low HP. So it's weak against status inflicting moves-especially poison. Safeguard will cover this. Stone Edge for the STAB, of course Power Trick,
and Sandstorm for additional damage (it's not affected by it).

So, there. I'm lousy with natures.

    Safeguard? Wtf, dudes? <.< Also, Impish > Adamant. When Shuckle attacks you want to hit hard and fast, so you'll want as much Defense to convert into Attack as possible. All physical hits can and will OHKO you when you drop the trick, so there's no point in going lukewarm;

    Shuckle @ Leftovers
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SDef
    Stone Edge
    Earthquake
    Power Trick
    Rock Polish/Substitute

Rock Polish your Speed up (lol) then Power Trick and try to sweep. You'll probably need to trap a suitable opponent when you set up, though. Optionally, you could pass Speed increases (and preferably also a substitute) from other team members to lessen the setup time. Hardly competitive by any stretch of imagination, but should be good for a laugh. Oh, and it likes to pair up with Tyranitar/Hippowdon since the Sandstorm will not only put a little extra pressure on your opponent but also increase Shuckle's SDef by 50%.

    Ok, so how about this

    Safeguard
    Power Trick
    Stone Edge
    Sandstorm

Of course, his major weakness is status inflicting moves, so Safeguard. Stone Edge for the STAB, Power Trick of course, and Sandstorm for additional damage. This set is highly dangerous, because it reduces his defence to nothing. How about this:

    Toxic
    Sandstorm
    Safeguard
    Gastro Acid/Encore

This set plays to it's stregnth-being a tank. Again, Safeguard, but Toxic & Sandstorm for damage. The other two are your choice.

    Hope this helps

Okay...I've seriously tried to deal with this the nice way, but...*Twitch* I've had it with you spamming up threads with doube posts. *Reports* Seriously, just wait until someone else posts or edit your existing post. It's not so damn hard. <.<

Fails on account of Safeguard (Seriously, what's up with Safeguard Shuckle?) and lacking any way to cover Shuckle from damage after Power Trick or outspeed opponents. Also, having only one damaging move (With only 5 PP) after the trouble of setting this thing up just isn't worth it. Sandstorm is also better of delegated to a Sand Streamer.

And again...why Safeguard? Also, the notion of Shuckle tanking without HP recovery is absurd. Rest covers both HP recovery and status problems. Also, no Knock Off or Stealth Rock? Those are the two additions that give Shuckle something to offer. Seriously, though, Power Trick Shuckle probably calls for Trick Room support and - preferably - Sandstorm as well. It's just too much support to make it worth the while when Choice Scarf Medicham wreaks havoc without any setup whatsoever.

Well, Shcukle is the slowest, pairing with Munchlax, so, why not give it trick room?

Because it's not in the learnset, unfortunately. But yes, if it was then Relaxed (for minmized speed) and Trick Room would be part of the Power Trick set, definitely.

First of all, I didn't mean to double post, by the time I finish typing, someone else post something else. I type using the Wii, so it's very faulty. I don't mean to upset anyone, so sorry.

But on Shuckle, is it better to just be all out reckless with Power Trick? Or is he just useless on a real team? And would you be able to use Power Trick to switch back to defence?

    There is a 'delete' function available when you click 'edit', you know. -.- Anyway, Power Trick is not really Shuckle's thing. I wouldn't say it's completely useless, but it's substandard. Probably works best with;

    Shuckle @ Leftovers
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    Stealth Rock/Encore
    Toxic
    Knock Off
    Rest

Sort of an utility approach. Knock Off is a serious pain for opposing teams, as is Stealth Rock, and Toxic allows for some general damage spreading. Still, the fact remains that other pokémon can basically do Shuckle's job better. :\

Well, I was thinking, that since Slowbro can learn Trick Room and if you start off with him cursing and using Trick Room, when Slowbro is almost dead have him Trick Room once more to give Shuckle some time to kill things. And Shuckle can Power Trick once more when Trick Room is over to put his attack and defense back to normal, then rest up and sit there using toxic.

Also, does anybody know how much damage a Shuckle who has about 30 speed would deal with Gyro Ball?

as you mentioned, someone should probably activate trick room if you decide to go with Power Trick Shuckle. it's still very difficult to pull it off.
