Smilie conflict

Err... so? Oo
It's in the coding of the MSN names and stuff, and some of the characters just happen to be smilies here. Could you possibly say what the problem with is it so we can give a valid answer? XD

I forgot to ask if the smilie codes could be changed to something else. Or put a note in the first post of the IM thread? I don't think some people know how to disable smilies. o_O
 
o_O Kind of sad if they don't know...it's at the bottom of every "make new post" form...including quick reply. Ah well.

Changing the smilie codes is rather out of the question, since it's always been like that and making people adapt to new ones just for one thread is kind of...well, yeah. But I see no harm in adding that notice to the beginning of the thread.
