The internet browser built for individuals who spend their days on MySpace browsing endlessly from profile to profile. The browser adds such convenient features as custom profile creation, auto-login to MySpace, remove obnoxious customizations from other users profiles, colorful comments or messages, and the ability to get on to MySpace if it is blocked at school or work. Huh? You would think that if a service like MySpace is being filtered from school or work, your chances of being able to install whatever software you choose would also be limited. Regardless, share your comments on this Firefox killer *sigh*.

Found this on UNEASYsilence today. I've heard of things like this, but can this really gain a footing as the de facto standard for MySpace addicts? To download, or just to see what this is all about, Google "SocialBrowsr".

I don't see why anyone would use this when I'm quite certain that a simple Firefox extension could do all of the above and more. o_O;

Yeah, this is kind of like Flock—if the entirety of your internet usage is centered around MySpace, this might be useful. I haven't Googled it, but I assume it's built on Mozilla, like Flock is?

Yes, It is built on the Mozilla (XUL) engine, the same engine Flock and Firefox are built on.

It's not that Mozilla's rendering engine is built on XUL, is it? I thought that was just its UI. o.o;

Right. And the interface is done in XUL—that's what makes it so flexible.

I would choose Flock if I HAD to choose a rip-off 'social' browser.
