4th Gen soft reset....

    i would really like to know ,how do people get shinies out of pokemon eggs?you would say soft reset,but can you explain it to me more,and if you have got a shiny by softresetting an egg ,tell me how many times you did it.
     
    To soft reset for pokemon out of eggs, you have to save before you get the egg. So like, right in front of the Daycare Man or something. Because once you receive the egg, the data for the pokemon is already set. This makes it extremely annoying because you now have to take 5,120 steps or so before SRing, but that's the way the game works. >.<
    I haven't done it myself, but from talking to other people who SR for egg/running legendary shinies, it can take anywhere from an hour to several months, even more or less. It's all based on probability and luck.
     
    yeah, a lot of people think if you save right before an egg hatches you can sr and get shinies, or even a different nature or ivs, but that isn't the case
