    I'm entering Australian Idol (Again) in May, and need a song choice.

    Last time, I screwed up and left my song choice until I was there - WRONG.

    This time, I'll be prepared though, since I'm thinking about my initial song NOW.

    The songs I've narrowed it down to are these:

    Crying - Roy Orbison
    Burn For You - John Farnham
    Mi Mancherai - Josh Groban
    Khe Sahn - Cold Chisel
    No Second Prize - Jimmy Barnes
    Your Song - Garth Brooks
    What About Me? - Moving Pictures
    Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers
    My Way - Frank Sinatra
    Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Shaking Stevens
    Love Me Tender - Elvis Presley

    All these songs are songs I can sing, and according to other people (Not just myself :P) I can sing well.

    If you know any of these songs, please rate how well you personally think they would fair in the INITIAL auditions of Idol.
     
    I think this would go in other entertainment still.You should go with whatever fits you best, you can't sing something that doesn't fit you.
     
    Sorry, but this does belong in Other Entertainment. =D All polls should go in their respective forums. n_n As for what song to choose, I seriously don't know, 'cause I never heard any of them. xD;

    They all fit me, which is why they are playing on my mind, and how can not have heard any of them?

    Just pick a song that fits you.Don't sing a song that makes you feel uncomfortable or uneasy.You must give it your best try and hope for the best^^!And they'll do well in the initial auditions ;) .
     
    I have no idea, but I'd suggest not going with "What About Me?". After Shannon Noll's remake of it... oh, how clich?, I bet the judges are sick of it xD

    Yeah that's a good song to use.But i'm still not 100% sure wich one.Like I said before, it's totally up to you.

    Have you heard his voice? No,thats what i thought. You dont know how good he can sing,thats kinda discouraging. :\

    Well, we were kinda discussing Josh Groban's voice... ^^-; But.. I see your point.. All is well, and Lion Heart, I think you should choose whatever song you think fits you best. ~origin

    Josh Groban is seriously awesome, and I CAN sing his songs by the way, I've sung You Raise Me Up at a wedding, and I sang Mi Mancherai at a karaoke thing, I won $100 for it :P

    Right now, I'm thinking Mi Mancherai, or a song I just grabbed the other day, called Desperado.

    I can do Desperado aswell, I haven't sung it like publicly yet, just in front of friends and while I'm walking around the streets.

    I can't be that bad if some people actually come out to hear me :P

    And yes, I do live in a retirement village town place -_-.
