    We've all been through a stage like that though (myself included) ^^; so i wouldn't place a lot of emphasis on it being inevitable unless it actually does happens
    To be honest, the main concern seems to be him losing staff, but even DF has only really had one extra staff member at a time, so it isn't as though it's impossible to run a site without staff ^^;
     
    Personally, I cannot make a good opinion unless I know the true story, which has happened over years, been covered up numerous times, so yeah, it's hard to make an opinion...

    Though, after hearing what he says to some of his mods/admins, I wouldn't be surprised if they did leave.
     
    Truth is, Joe has said this how many times, but I actually think he means it this time, he has been planning on either abandoning it or selling it for ages, some just dont see why he doesnt pass it on to PiPikachu, but meh, it's compleately up to him if he wants to shut it down, the forums will still be open but a lode of Pokemon fans will be dispaointed. He's had that grudge with BWG for ages and it's up to Cronis if he wants to help out there.

    Meh, I like the place, but it's up to him.
     
    He says he'll keep it for at least 2 months after peer pressure from certain members. Also, it's nice how he mentioned PPN as a secondary source of info :P
     
    Funniest thread I've seen in awhile.

    He won't close it. He just wants sympathy. Meh.
     
    i dont really care myself. i only occasionally visit the forums and even when i do, i dont do much. mainly due to the fact that i just really dont like him. sorry, but its the truth. the huge 'ol improvements thread? i bet only one out of every 100 improvment requests have been fullfilled. even good and easy to implement requests such as removing the ****ed pokemon smilies still hasnt been fulfilled. then you got noobs who kiss his *** all the time.

    again, i dont have a major vendetta against him, i just dont like him due to various reasons that were and were not mentioned.
     
    I don't visit SPP that much, but if it closes it will be missed. And Steve, you can't post forums links. XD
     
    *pets Joe* I feel bad for the poor guy. Like IMPERIAL DRAGON said in that thread on SPPf, it's best not to give in to scurging rat finks like the ones who are gettin' him down. :P

    I have had a similar experience though, with me trying to leave forums. I'd want to leave, and I would have my mind set on leaving, then decide I want to stay and come back in a matter of days. XD

    What's this, like the fifth or sixth time Joe's said that he's closing SPP? I don't think it's gonna happen.
    But it's sick how some people are always flaming him for having the best Pokemon site on the web. Sure, Joe can be a little arrogant sometimes, but that doesn't give them any right to flame/bash SPP. It's just jealousy.

    It WOULD be upsetting if he left, but like everyone else said, he's said this before (although he is quite convincing, he could sell icecubes to a penguin.....) but I somehow just don't think he will although from the looks of it, it looks like he is considering it right now but maybe after a while he'll decide not to. 2 months is plenty of time to change your mind ^^ anyway, I hope it stays it's defintaley (Did I spell that wrong?) one of the best Pokemon resources out there!
     
    I think he needs to get over it and stop trying to get sympathy like this. I mean, wow, his staff members left. That's life! Almost all my staff members left me (during downtime) and I'm not complaining about it, nor am I gonna shut down my site for a tiny thing like that. And if he's complaining about "site rivalries", well DUH! Of course there's going to be rivalry between sites on the same subject. It's called competition. *sigh* If he doesn't like it, he can ignore it. I never got into the whole rivalry thing, which is why I don't actually *visit* other people's sites that often. People wouldn't know me at all if it wasn't for PC; I occasionally drop in at WtW (the biggest Digimon forum) and no one's ever heard of me, although they know my site -_-
