Starless Eyes

I gaze into your eyes and I
stare as hard as I can, intently smiling
at your beauty, but I can?t help but notice
your eyes are soulless and dull, without a twinkle,
never shining.

It pains me so, to see you
like this (like this)
It never used to be
like this (like this) until your world got turned
upside down.

The blood just drained
from your face and I watched you as
you grew pale and weak,
with sadness leaking from
your entire body.

Your soulless eyes never look directly
at anything, they just look past, gazing
into the vast distance, looking at
particularly nothing, or maybe something
we can?t understand.

Your starless eyes just watch
into the clouds, your eyes never say anything
anymore, they used to say all
of your emotions, without uttering
a word.


It pains me so, to see you

I like it, it gives new meaning to the term "beauty is only skin deep" XD. And I mean that by saying, someone may seem like everything is fine on the putside, but anyone who knows someone really well can tell how they 'really feel' just by looking at your eyes, which explain everything ^^.

The overall poem is well done, but it would be better if you gave a hint or two to what happened in the past. But great job nonetheless ^^

Ah I'm so glad you liked my poem, Lance ^^; I couldn't really go in depth of what happened, because I wanted to show it to my friend, and it was about him.. XD; But I'm glad somebody liked it

Looks like a lot of people are taking a liking to Jon's style of writing. ^_______^ I really liked this poem Julia. :33 It has good feeling to it and shows just how much people care. For when you're in love - you care just enough about that person, that you would be willing to give them up to let them be happy. <33~~~ Awesome job! ^^
