I've got a suggestion for the Pokemon Fanclubs section of the MCGs. Not the MFCs or Other Clubs.

Okay, one of the rules that Loveless stated was not to create multiple threads for one purpose (ie. Let's say Random Member 1 makes a Charizard Fanclub, and then Random Member 2 makes a Charizard Fanclub as well, not knowing that one already exists)
    Loveless said:
    1. Check to see that your club doesn't already exist. [How? It's quite simple. Go to the section of MCG where your club would belong. For example, if you want to start an Altaria club, go to the main area, Mixed Community Groups. Click the arrow beside "Search this Forum". In the drop-down box, type the partial name of the club you're trying to make. For example, "altaria". You will be presented with a list of results. If the club you're trying to make appears on the list, it exists. Now, read rule 2.]

Seeing as that rule gets disobeyed a lot, and it's not really going to solve anything by repetitively telling people to read the rules, I say we make the threads in the Pokemon Fanclubs section of the MCGs under Moderation. Moderators will be able to check if there is an already active club for the Pokemon. If there isn't, they will accept the thread, and if there is one, then the thread will be denied. This will massively decrease SPAM in the MCG section.

I fully support this idea. I know when I used to post around in that forum I'd see a lot of duplicate threads, and people wouldn't even know there was another thread of same subject so they'd just post in the newer one. That particular area could do with some strict modding anyway, so I'm all for it.

I have no problems with it, but if it's approved, it'll probably have to wait until Midori comes back. :/
And can we turn it off in the subforums? I'm not entirely sure, that's not a feature I've tried out before.

If you can, I wouldn't mind it in member fanclubs either, since permission has to be given in order for the club to be made.

I actually don't think that it would be needed in the MFCs, since the approval thread is pretty unique (so people read it) and people can just look at who the last poster in that thread is if a new thread in the MFCs suddenly comes up. The approval thread lessens a lot of spam in the MFCs already. :x
