The time has come! Summer sales have started! Steam's starts next week, but other retailers have already begun! If you find an interesting sale, feel free to post it!

I'll kick it off with https://www.gog.com/
I love this site, and if you want DRM free games this is definitely the place to get them. They even have a beta client called Galaxy you can apply for, it's open! Highlights include The Witcher, Jade Empire, and Duke Nukem. There's more on the way every day, so keep an eye on them!

I'm waiting on a few things. Game of Thrones TellTale, Skyrim, Dying Light, and a few others. Those are gonna be my buys for sure - maybe Witcher 3 after hearing so much good about it.

GamersGate's sale started on the 1st, and they're running until Steam's starts on the 11th. Several of their offers have been cheaper elsewhere before (they have Rayman Legends for $25 when it's gone as low as $10), but it's worth looking at.

Amazon has a huge sale - most of the better offers are ending today (boo) but many are staying up as long as the 15th - and they have some exciting things.
Assassin's Creed Rogue Deluxe Edition is only $15 - it's never been below $30 before, I doubt it'll be much cheaper than this when Steam's sale starts.
They also have the entire Mass Effect bundle for $8.99.
And Child of Light for $5.10.

Full list of Amazon's better sales at the top of the page here, along with other notable sales from other retailers. c:

It might go cheaper yet, but Witcher 3 is only $37 on GamesRocket. :v

Dying Light is $30 at several places right now, but that probably means it'll also be $30 (or less) on Steam.

Some highlights on gog today include a city building bundle, torchlight, and MOTHER TRUCKIN GEX THE MOTHER TRUCKIN GECKO!

Today gog has Advent Rising, a gem if ever I saw one, for a dollar and some change! The Bard's Tale, a tongue in cheek comedy game for only 2 dollars! And a Roller Coaster Tycoon bundle for less than 10!

Battle Realms is being given away for free on gog right now, so go grab it! idek what it is but FREE!

Beyond Good and Evil, a bunch of Telltale Games, and Grim Fandango are all currently on sale, so don't miss out like I will! It looks to me like a lot of sales are back on too, so if you missed something you might want to look again now. Oh, and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is a dollar and some change. Worth it.

idek what it is but FREE!

This is a good motto to live by.

And thank you, I just grabbed mine. Probably wouldn't have ever seen it if you hadn't posted here, lol.

We actually got a little mini-game event. o:

After the ordeal with last year's color wars thing, I wasn't expecting anything special to happen during the summer sale. I figured it'd be just like the winter sale.

It's a really dumb mini-game, but it's exciting to see them doing something with it. c:

You should have (and might have) seen the one from back when I first got into Steam. This was about...2, 3 years ago? I think it was 3, possibly 4. Regardless, it was a Christmas sale, and what they would do is list challenges for various games, a means of promoting games on sale and various F2Ps, and after completing a certain amount you would get presents that could contain anything- games, coal (to make more presents, this was the first use of the crafting system), items (not cards, though, as this was before that).

It was a really fun time because you were rewarded for playing games, and got people playing titles that they'd bought but wouldn't give the time of day. One particular challenge for Atom Zombie Smasher showed me just how much of a joy that game is (and I'd definitely recommend it), among others. I can't see them doing it again due to Steam's library being exponentially larger than it was then and due to the fact that there's so much more in the way of non-games on the Steam Store, it just wouldn't work out.
