Summer Sales News Center!

I've picked up New n Tasty, Stranger's Wrath, Despair, and I have No Mouth and I must Scream. I also bought all the DLC for New n Tasty. Wasteland 2 is on sale. I can't afford it though now, haha! New n Tasty was way more worth it.

So far I've only picked up Tomb Raider and the mid-2000s Tomb Raider trilogy. Tomb Raider dropped to $4 riiiight before I was going to grab it and Legends, Anniversary, and Underworld were all less than two bucks each. This is my first summer sale and I'm trying to keep spending down, so something like $8 on four games is good enough for me.

At this point I'm going to try holding off until I see certain Assassin's Creed games, Xenoverse, the other Arkham games I don't have, and Final Fantasy XIII/XIII-2 marked down in price. Aside from those games there isn't a lot that jumps out at me right now. (though I might make an exception for The Long Dark if it drops enough)

Well, I'm stuck. Half-Minute Hero and its sequel are on sale together for 2.49 but I'm not sure if I should wait to get it or buy it now. At the same time Super Meat Boy is on sale too for about a dollar but I'm not sure if I want it or not. Should I get all three or...?

Times like these is when I want a credit card or anything just so I can grab a shitton of games. :c

I have to rely on an offsite source to get my wallet filled and I don't like the huge deduction from the amount of money I can actually put :c

Buy SMB for sure. It's one of the best platformers ever made.

HMH is fantastic and has a lot of depth. I've played for many hours over the years and haven't scratched the surface, so getting both of them for $2.49 is an absolute steal. Made a review right here if you're interested.

And Super Meat Boy's Super Meat Boy, it's a lot of fun and it's only a dollar, though if you're gonna get it, just pay a dollar for this instead.

I actually recommend that Humble Bundle at the highest tier. Antichamber is an amazing game. If you like Portal, chances are you'll like Antichamber. Limbo is also a great game. Lost of atmosphere, though it's a little short.

Oh, and by the way, Origin has a sale on Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare. Get it so I have more people to play with kthx.

Garry's Mod is 50% off guys! Pick it up so you can participate in any Gmod based events in the future! I also recommend you pick up Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source to go with it, as they are dirt cheap right now and are the core games Gmod uses for content.

$5? That's odd. Huh. USually it's $2.49 deal price.

Huh. Not saying it's not worth it, though. Just a little surprised. Fun game, that, I was an avid player years back.

Payday 2 is on today's Daily deals, but don't fall for it! Pick it up as part of the E3 Digital Ticket Humble Bundle instead, you'll get a lot more stuff including some masks (2 of which are based on Pokemon and Majora) and even a copy of Psychonauts. Plus it comes with a bunch of coupons for the Humble store, whose games are redeemable on Steam.

We've hit the Encore Sale now, so now that it's pretty much over.. What was your final damage total haul from the Steam sale? c:

I'll put mine in a spoiler for size. It's lengthy. Bolded titles were the ones I was originally gunning for. Look at how well I stuck to that list! c;

Spoiler:

Alright, here's the massive list of games I bought:

Spoiler:

This sale was very good for my wallet. And my decision making skills. Still considering buying the Tales from the Borderlands and Dishonored, but the former I might wait until the last episode's out and the latter I'm indecisively holding out on until the Definitive Edition...which might not even come to PC. The GOTY's $7.50 on G2A, but...whew...not sure.

I pretty much doubled my library with this sale.

Spoiler:

My list of games:
Spoiler:

All in all I'm a little bit disappointed. So many games on my wishlist didn't get the discount I'd like to see.

My final haul from the Steam Summer sale is as follows:
Spoiler:

All in all, it cost me around $22 - $23.

Swept in at the last minute and bought a few games with no regrets, mainly because I happened to come into some Steam money through very lucky circumstances:

Dishonored GOTY
Akiba's Trip
Noitu Love 2: Devolution
This War of Mine

ughh im debating still if i want this war of mine. i haven't purchased anything because i was waiting for games to go on sale, but they didn't!

The only game I bought from the Steam Sale is Child of Light for close to $4. There were a few other games on my wishlist that were on sale, but like RF they weren't in the discount I was hoping for.
