chapter one
SPYING
Mario and Luigi entered Princess Peach's castle. They had been summoned by Peach. They saw her when they stepped into the castle. "What do you want us to do?" asked Mario.
"I need you two to go to Bowser's Castle and spy on him." she said. "Toadsworth has heard that Bowser is going to start war on the Mushroom Kingdom and take it over. I need to know if that is true."
"OK. But how are we going to get there?" asked Luigi. "The border between the Mushroom Kingdom and the Koopa Kingdom is at least 100 miles away."
"You two and Toadsworth will be sent to a boat port near the border in my private jet." she replied. "You will go the rest of the way by using a combination of the Wing Cap and the Vanish Cap. However, those caps won't disappear when wore for too long. They are the newest version. You will use those from there. Fly to Bowser's Castle and try not to make any noise. Look for him and follow him once you've found him."
"OK." said Mario and Luigi at the same time. Toadsworth came up to them.
"It is time to go." he said. Luigi went with him, but Peach grabbed Mario's shoulder before he could take a step.
"Good luck." she whispered to him. Then she kissed him on the cheek. Mario blushed and ran after Luigi and Toadsworth. They went to the castle's airstrip. They boarded the hot-pink plane and sat on the chairs. The plane went off. Mario looked out his window. He looked down on the castle. A couple minutes later he could see the Dry Dry Desert. About 10 minutes later, they arrived. They got off of the plane. Toadsworth took 4 caps and two walkie-talkies out of his bag.
"Mario, Luigi, take these caps. Put them on and fly to Bowser's Castle. Use these walkie-talkies to communicate with eachother and with the Princess." he said. Mario and Luigi put the caps on and put the walkie-talkies in there pockets. Luckily, the walkie-talkies couldn't be seen inside their invisible pockets. They were invisible and could fly. They started flying towards the border.
The border was a river of extremely dangerous rapids. There was a small rackety bridge.
Thank god we don't have to use that. Mario thought. They flew into the Koopa Kingdom. There was not much grass and the ground was mostly dark brown soil. There were Koopa Paratroopas and Cloud Hammer Bros. patroling the skies and Koopa Troopas patroling the ground. They avoided the koopas. After they flew a couple yards, there were no more koopas on patrol. They continued to fly over the wasteland. There were some lava pits. Eventually, they arrived at the castle.
"Lets split up." said Mario. "If you need to tell me something, use the walkie-talkie."
"OK." replied Luigi. They each flew into a differenyt part of the castle.
Mario went through a small window on the top of the castle. There was nothing in it. He flew down the stairs and saw some Hammer Bros., Boomerang Bros., Sledge Bros., Fire Bros. and Charging Chucks having a meeting.
"Is there really going to be a war?" asked one of the Charging Chucks.
"I think so. I think King Bowser said that there was going to be one." said a Hammer Brother. Mario flew out the open door and ended up in a large hallway. He went up to a giant red door. He saw Lemmy walking towards it. Mario went in when Lemmy opened the door. Inside the room, Bowser, Bowser Jr. and all of the Koopalings except Ludwig were there. They were sitting at a large table. Lemmy sat down. Mario went behind a bookcase and took out his walkie-talkie.
"Luigi!" Mario whispered into the walkie-talkie to Luigi. "Look for Ludwig and follow him!"
"OK!" he heard Luigi say through the walkie-talkie. Mario put his walkie-talkie away and went back to the table. He floated above it. A minute later, Ludwig came in and sat down.
"Mario, I'm in the room that Ludwig went into!" Luigi whipsered through the walkie-talkie.
"Me too." Mario whispered back. Bowser started talking.
"Tomorrow, at dawn, we will attack the Mushroom Kingdom." said Bowser. "All of you will have troops of koopas and goombas. King Goomba and King Bob-Omb will be helping us."
"Why are we starting a war?" asked Larry.
"So we can take over the Mushroom Kingdom!" he said. "Then we will take over other lands that are near it! The Beanbean Kingdom, Sarasaland, Dinosaur Land, and Isle Delfino!"
"Why?" asked Larry.
"Why not?!?" said Bowser.
"OK." said Larry.
"Anyways," Bowser continued, "tonight some Hammer Brothers will be starting on a new bridge to cross the border on. You will use that. Me and Jr. will go in the Koopa Clown Car. We will get the Koopa Cruiser and use it for assault on the castle. We will all attack different parts of the kingdom. They are on this piece of paper." Bowser put a big piece of paper on the table.
"OK." said all of the Koopalings at once. Mario read the paper, and Luigi whispered what it said to Peach through his walie-talkie.

Ludwig von Koopa-Dry, Dry Desert Pyramids

Roy Koopa-Tall, Tall Mountain
Wendy Koopa-Bob-Omb Battlefield" whispered Luigi. "And I think that Bowser is going to attack the castle. And King Goomba and King Bob-Omb are on his side."
"OK. I wrote that down." said Peach.
"Lets go!" whispered Luigi to Mario. They flew out a window to go back to the plane. Eventually they made it to the border. They got on the plane. 30 minutes later they got back to the castle. They ran up to Peach. "Peach, you need to get troops to those places and the border. Tonight Hammer Bros. are going to build a new bridge." said Mario.
"OK. I will send troops to the border." she replied. She had Toadsworth send them there. Mario, Luigi and Peach watched the toad warriors leave the castle on the top of the castle.
