    World Challenge!    ​

    Welcome to the Super Mario Maker World Challenge!

    In this event on PC, you'll be tasked with creating your own four-level Mario world set to a storyline! The storylines, the levels, and the fun are all of your own design, but only one can come out on top! In order to enter the competition, you must do the following:

    1. Craft your story! Whether it's the classic Bowser kidnaps Peach story or one with a twist, come up with the story for your world! It can be anything you can make in the game, even fun things like Peach having to rescue Mario, a Donkey Kong Country adventure, or whatever you can dream up.

    2. Build your levels! Once you've decided on a plot, you can make your levels! There are only a few rules when it comes to crafting the levels and they're as simple as what Mario Maker already requires. Your level must be able to be completed! We're not looking for you to out-level the rest or make impossibly hard levels. Consider this a fun building exercise. Beyond that, do not make it TOO easy! Try to consider an average Mario player and avoid levels that are too simplistic or easy.

    3. Upload 'em and post 'em here! You'll want to write out your plot in a descriptive way to entice other players into trying your world out, as well as including all four upload codes! Once you do that, other players can enjoy your levels and story.

    4. Leave feedback! If you enjoyed someone's story and world, let us all know! After some time, we'll be voting on PC's Best Mario World, so undoubtedly the creators will love your feedback!

    5. Create more! Nothing says you have to stop at one world. Make as many as you want, include sequels to your story, and much more! Just get out there, have some fun, and enjoy a great game by Nintendo!​

    You have until October 4th to craft your worlds and stories, then we will begin voting!

    1. Are we allowed to use levels we've made prior to this event?
    2. Do they actually have to make up a world on our coursebot or is that just a guideline for this event (like the four levels escalating in difficulty similar to a real Mario game world and as long as it's four levels like the Maker worlds are)?

    1. They gotta be new! It'd need to fit a theme/storyline you make, so it'd be neat to have new levels in case people have played older ones.

    2. Nah, just upload them and then add them as if they were on Coursebot.
     
    HO you told me I could use stuff I already made. I have to find my creative juices then. lol
