They do look deformed.THe squitle tail on charmander is to big you can see that you cut and posted it onto the charmander.

Cool,guys you are great,so many suggestions,if you'd be any more helpful you'd be Jesus.Anyway here are some suggestions:
Don't enlarge or shrink the original sprites(unless you are really good)
When you fuse parts,connect 'em with lines
Recolor every part of the fusion(so it would look better)
Make the fusion look like something(if you don't like,nobody does)
So at the end,some positive fedback:
I really like the last sprite you made,would you do me a favor and recolor it into lapras colors.

The Lugia-Pidgeot fusion was... Okay. But the eyes look weird. That's all I have to say.
