    Who do you think is the father of Ash and why do you think it's that certain person?
     
    Yeah I think it's Giovanni too or maybe Lance...nah I think it's giovanni.
     
    I don't think it would be goivanni otherwize the anime would have had a
    'Ash I am your father'

    Ash's Father? got to be some mad pokemon professor, always out doing field work. Why else have we only seen Ash's mother?
     
    For those of you who think its Giovanni it's not.
    As stated in Pok?mon Leaf Green/Pok?mon Fire Red
    "Hey, your Giovanni's kid aren't you?, No, wait, Giovanni's kid has red hair". Ash's father is probably Lance (as stated above) that'd be the most logical one.

    Isn't Lance too old young to be a father?
    I'm guessing Ash's mother is a widow, and his father is some random trainer who went to beat the E4 but never came back home.
     
    I think he's Gary's dad, and they're really half-brothers (well, they both have spiky hair XD). And this is in the wrong place. *reports*
     
    Someone even say that he is dehlia's mr mime. i forget who say. I think it even prof.oak <why does he often go to dehlia house?>
     
    Answer: Who cares? Satoshi's originally based off of Red, who has no father mentioned at all unless you look at an SNES game in the huge department store which mentions dad possibly liking a Sports game. Since both were only mentioned ONCE, it doesn't matter since they're not important to begin with. :O

    I thought Red was based of Ash. *blinks confused* I dunno... oh... yeah.

    I think he's like Giovanni's kid.

    ... I am never going to understand why people think Ash's dad is Ho-oh. -_-

    Anyway, I doubt they're going to tell. Just like Kagome's dad, Ash's dad has been mentioned but they're never going to say anything more about it.

    personally, i dont know, althoagh I dont think it is giovanni, I reckon it will be a character not yet introduced, and I think we will find out in the last ever series

    I think it's some guy we've never seen. We likely won't see him anytime soon either, because he isn't important to the plot.

    And it's not Giovanni, Lance, or Ho-Oh. Giovanni would be too cliched (the hero being the son of the villain), Lance is a very trivial character in the anime's universe (he only shows up a handful of times), and Ho-Oh is just downright ridiculous.
