I'm actually curious what's going to happen when Stenir completes all 18 Ultimate Run Monotype challenges. Will he be added to each "Game Mastery" Hall of Fame as well? I kind of wanted to be the first person in this thread to do the "Game Mastery" challenge for Ruby/Sapphire, but I've since accepted that I won't be. (I hope this doesn't get misconstrued as me wanting a pity party. I've 100% made peace with it.)
Yes, Stenir will be added to each Game Mastery Hall of Fame as he gets his final type in each game. He will also, simultaneously, still have all his runs in the Ultimate Hall of Fame, and be added to the Type Mastery Hall of Fame once he's done one run of each type. The only reason he hasn't been added as a challenger for Game Mastery as well is because he hasn't asked to do so yet. (He's only applied for one Ultimate Challenge at a time.)
I was planning on signing up for them in one shot when I get down to the last type. I have been doing them one at a time only because I was never certain whether I wanted to do another one. Never know after doing seven games if you wanna do another seven. But, yeah, I could sign up for them now, but for me, it makes more sense to do it right at the end so only one left is open to be completed. Less to have to jump around and mark as completed.
There's still quite a few games left. I think like 62 if you count my gen 7 ghost that I'll be starting later tonight. It takes about a week or so to do a run...I'm trying not to go too crazy. I wouldn't be opposed to trying to get them all done by end of year 2025, but yeah, not trying to rush. There are some days I don't feel like playing, and some days my arthritis doesn't allow me to play as it gets worse during the cold months here. There's also a point when I stop and do the Four Job Fiesta, which eats up a few weeks.
I will say this, I'm cheering you on, Cosmic. Us trainers stick together...I also want to do Gen 8 and Gen 9...and then also PLA. So, I'm excited to see what comes of your runs because it's the combined energy of us all here that keeps us all going.

It's been a while since I last updated my phone Pokemon game. During the power outage in my region, I managed to beat Archie, with two Pokemon fainted in the process, and beat Flannery easily with my type advantage. I didn't make a separate update for Flannery since, by the time the power came back on, I had already made it to Norman's room in his gym, though I had lost my first battle. The rematch ended up being mostly decided through my female team members all learning Attract, infatuating his Truant Slaking and slowly chipping away at their HP, and healing with Soda Pops whenever they got hit by a Facade. I did come close to running out of healing items, since I had not bought many, but the second Slaking kept trying and failing to use Focus Punch against Lombre, which probably won me the battle.
I evolved both Wingull and Tentacool, and picked up some new moves for everyone. Marshtomp, Lombre, and Tentacruel all learned Secret Power for a better Normal-type move, while Pelipper and Tentacruel swapped out Supersonic for Attract because all of Norman's Pokemon are male. Finally, Tentacruel learned Bubblebeam for a strong STAB move. It won't have it for long, though, since everyone's about to learn Surf!
I'm not starting up my next non-phone monotype just yet because I'm busy preparing a challenge event for the holiday; keep your eyes peeled.
EDIT: One of my Pokemon also got PokeRus from the battle with Archie, making this my third time ever getting the PokeRus.

I'm keeping going even though I don't have to because I havent played through Gen 8 or 9 in a while.
Pokemon Shield Ground Monotype Run Part 1: Start-Milo
Spoiler:
Started game, Hop like Hau before him stupidly picks the starter weak to yours so i took Scorbunny and he took Grookey.
Did the early events and finally made it to the wild area where I could catch a ton of pokemon. caught Moo the Swinub, Bnnuy the Bunnelby, Moley the Diglett and Froggo the Tympole. I also got a Golett from a raid den but it had a terrible nature and ability, and was like 8 levels higher than my party.
Then by changing the date and weather. I got Beyblade the Baltoy and Jenny the Mudbray (which is purely here because its a ground type i am NEVER using any Alola native ground types EVER again so help me Arceus)
Trained a little to around level 10 before going back to motostoke.
After beating up team yell with Wooper and seeing the opening Ceremony I battled hop heading out of Motostoke
VS Hop
Wooper went back and forth with wooloo mud shot vs tackle, it growled a few times which did nothing and after a potion wooper was able to win.
I underestimated Mudbray and after a branch poke it set iron defense. grookey taunted me but i went for rock smash, 2nd got the defense drop after a scratch and he growled. Another growl and a double kick didn't quite KO but one more did the trick.
Swinub's powder snow did more damage than rookidee's peck, it used leer too but 3 powder snow put it down.
Continuing on through Route 3 and the Galar mines I came across
VS Bede
So this wasn't too bad.
Wooper hit Mud Shot on Solosis and it hit back with confusion hard. So i swapped to diglett who took a confusion, then flinched with astonish before a 2nd took it out.
Gothita used tickle after an astonish so i swapped to Baltoy, after a rapid spin and a psybeam i used rock tomb...which triggered her competitive, oops. But Gothita just spammed tickle as baltoy chipped it down and out.
Finally was Hatenna which Mudbray knocked out with 2 Bulldoze.
Made it to Turffield where I got an Expert Belt and tried Milo
VS Milo Round 1
Swinub 3 shot Gossifleur with Ice Shard taking 2 rapid spin in the process, then eldegoss dyanamaxed and took out my team one by one, i barely hurt it.
Trained a little
Round 2:
See above.
Took on some raid dens for exp candy to level Swinub to 20 then went back to Motostoke for the protect and light screen TMs
VS Milo Round 3
Swinub cleanly 2 shot Gossifleur taking a round in the process. with Protect it stalled a turn of dynamax tanking a max overgrow, then hit Ice Shard for chip and fainted. Diglett protected to stall out the last turn then bulldozed to slow Eldegoss down.
After this Claydol set up Light Screen and hit a psybeam for some good damage before Mudbray came in, took a round, hit rock smash, took a leafage, hit rock smash, took another one, hit rock smash a third time FINALLY getting the def drop before a leafage took her out.
So in came Golett to hit a shadow punch and faint to magical leaf before Wooper finished it with Mud Shot.
You know maybe I underestimated Mudsdale, maybe Alola just hates ground types because this little filly has been putting in work so far.
