Is the Elite Four too hard :dead: ? Well, maybe the reason is that you don't have the right types of pokemon (anyone that just started the game can use these helpful hints too).
For your starter pokemon, you should get Torchic (even though I got Mudkip :nervous: ). I say this because you'll need fire attacks for Glacia. For MY fire pokemon, I used Numel and worked it up to a Camerupt, just for anyone that already chose something else.
Secondly, you'll need a fighting type. Mine was Machoke.
Thirdly, you need an electric type. Manectric was mine.
Fourthly, you'll need a dark type (I forgot about that one: don't make that mistake  ).
Fifthly, you'll need a good dragon type. I wouldn't use Altaria, though. It's too hard to train.
Then, what I did, was use a normal type (Delcatty) and love it the best, gave it return, blizzard, thunder, and hyper beam. This is just the back up plan if any pokemon dies that you need.

Not to mention that one Sceptile (or maybe even Grovyle will do) can sweep the whole elite 4/elite 5 alone including Glacia...

There are only 2 requirements needed to beat the elite 4. As long as these 2 requirements are fulfilled, anyone can win (maybe except Magikarp, Sunkern, Weedle, Caterpie, Wurmple, Metapod, Feebas and etc... any pokemon with a lower total stats than 1350 will be more difficult)

    a) a lvl 100 pokemon trained with the EV training method (written in the advanced pokemon trainer's guide here)

    b) have just any decent movesets, with a total of 40 PP

This is enough for a one Pokemon sweep for the whole elite 4...

A Sceptile? I would have thought that would lose, but if it were to be at level 100, than the Elite Four would have no chance.
So, what you said: you can beat the elite four with only a sceptile.

Thats funny, I always pick Treeko, I breed pokemon and recieve the other two or I trade. And I put a everstone on my Grovyle cause I don't like Sceptile for some reason.

    My pokemon I use are...

    on my signature >.>

and they are all lvl 50 ^_^

    no need to double post, just use the edit button to add in the line within your post ^_^;

by the way... did I mention that one Blissey can destroy your team? ^_^;; (unless Haunter has mean look + perish/curse combo)

Any Pokemon that are fully evolved with just reasonably powerful moveset, provided that they have good enough amount of PP, can sweep the elite 4... afterall all elites are pushovers ingame.

i used mewtwo alone to sweep away the whole elite four...

and once , just for fun, i bought a lvl 100 magikarp holding a focus band and lvl 100 feebas and a lvl 96 caterpie and a lvl 94 weedle and a lvl 100 metapod and lvl 98 kakuna, it's sad, i beat only sidney with them (with only metapod left)

    physical attacker- slaking/groudon
    mental attacker- kyogre/mewtwo :)
    physical stone- onix/shuckle/groudon
    mental stone- kyogre/shuckle
annoyer- lvl 100 magikarp/wurmple/feebas/abra/shuckle/cocoon/anyone with rest and snore and massive defense and hp, like snorlax (not too good in defense)
any desired one- you choose, can be your starter...

that is really sad

Yup...that's sad alright. Another thing: don't use bug pokemon!

Oh, by the way, I forgot to say for Ruby/Sapphire, not the other games (elite four).
For Red, Blue, and Yellow I would consider...
    1) Electric
    2)Fire
    3)Water
    4)Psychic
5)Any pokemon that knows a powerful Dig attack (for Agatha[for a weird reason, it's really good])
6)Fire/Water/Grass, depending on what your rival's starter pokemon is.

I don't have the hints for silver, gold, or crystal because I never played them.
I'm not exactly a master, so don't pick on me...

Well, all you really ned to beat the elite 4 is one thing:A high-leveled team

Quite sad really how easy the ingame stuff is

that pretty much sums up everything that readers need to read about the thread.

If you are losing, it can only mean 2 things

    a) your whole team consists of nothing but magikarp, feebas, weedles, caterpies, kakunas, metapods, silcoons, cascoons, or wurmple

    b) too low level... it's time to level up

actually... there maybe a "c)" afterall...

    c) you haven't read the Pokemon Advanced Trainer's Guide stickied in this forum yet ;p *coughadvertisingcough*

here is a way to go, start with torchic maybe get some of you favorites but keep training him use him/her in all the gyms exept water use someone else (possibly your fav) go from there to the pokemon league make him/her at a consideraly high level (possibly 60s) have a few full restores and revives
heres the importint part, have him/her have blaze kick as a move now, beat the league in your style then keep going through maybe to stop once or twice for rayquaza or latios/latias then start again beating the league
at the level, have him learn sky uppercut
STOP now go get a heart scale take it to the guy in fallubur and make him learn fire punch your blaziken should have:
    1:blazekick
    2:sky uppercut
    3:fire punch
    4:any move you want

    now do the following
    go to the league and:
use firepunch on ALL of the first two peoples pokemon(even sharpedo)
use sky uppercut on the thirds

now comes drake you can take out all of his pokemon with blazekick exept salamence use what you want on him
    on steven use blazekick

BAM you just beat the league the first flygonruler1 style
get him/her to level 100 and you have you first indastructible pokemon

DONT EVEN make me tell you about my second,Flygonruler1 style, with my fav,Flygon ;)

Wow, I should do that. Thanks! I just restarted my game because I'm retarted.

Well, I'm back and I have better advice because before I was even more retarded. The best team I can suggest is this:

    Machamp
    Camerupt
    Manectric
    Walrein
    Absol
    Probably Wailord or Kingdra

They should be at least level 60. Want me to explain why this is such a magnificent team?

Sydney has Dark types, so Machamp would wipe them out.
Glacia has Ice/Water types, so Camerupt and Manectric would wipe them out easily.
Phoebe has Ghost type, so Absol, no problem.
Drake has Dragon, and Walrein can wipe those out in a heartbeat.
Steven has a lot of rock guys, so I strongly suggest a Kingdra, but Wailord if you're into really huge pokemon O_O

BY AS MUCH FULL RESTORES AS YOUR PUTRID MONEY COULD POSSIBLY BUY!!! EVEN MORE THAN 99 WOULD BE GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    thank you

That is my advice, and it is good advice that I have given.
