Bright lights. White walls. Tile floors. An uncomfortable seat. Lots of metal things that can cause lots of pain. What I am talking is a place that we all have to go to at least once in our lifes and some people avoid the place for their whole life. It is....

    dun dun dun....!

    The dentist office!

So how often do you guys go to the dentist? For what? What was the reason if you have gone before? By choice? By force?

Actually, though I hated my older dentist, when I switched to the one I have now, I don't mind the dentist at all o.o; doesn't really hurt (cause he's so skilled XD) and it cleans my teeth even though I'm so lazy. What's there to hate about it?

Plus, I do believe that health insurance covers my cost that I *must* go twice a year, actually XD

I don't know why, but so many people complain. They're not evil, are they? I mean, I was never afraid of them.. I was afraid of that stuff they put in your mouth that is apprently bad for you if you swallow it.

I havn't gone there for so long. MY mom actually made an appointment for a while ago, adn we forgot adn set it for a few days afetr that, and we were called like 5 minutes afetr that and they told us that they were closing and it was too late to come. So its been a while since I have been there. I don't really care though, my teeth aren't THAT black *shyly covers mouth* xD

I haven't been since..last month? Yeah, I think so~I only go once a year, I need braces but, because of Pop, I don't have to get them~x3

Suprising, I haven't been to the denist for a decade. Actually since I was in primary school.

And I still have my teeth! And they are white (sort of, few stains from when I abused myself in my depressed teens)

My mother hasn't been to a denist for even longer...over 30 years if I'm correct. And she's never had a problem with her teeth.

I go every 6 months and how can some people NOT go to the dentist once a year? >.>
Kinda icky if you ask me. I like to keep my teeth clean. :D

However, I find going to the dentist quite scary.

I used to have to go every month for like a year because of my braces. And because of that, whatever small trace of fear I had for dentists disappeared. So I don't really mind going to the dentist.

But now I got my braces removed, I don't have to go as often.

Well, I don't mind my dentist at all. They're real nice, and the it has a great view of the mountains from the chairs. I go ever 5 months for some reason, not sure why.

Now my orthodontist is much more traumatising. I aboslutley despise going there, and I have to at least once a month. I can be sitting in a chair for an hour stareing at a bright ligth with my mouth throbbing in pain there. Eek...

That's the orthodontist, not the dentist =o
Dentist won't really maintain your braces, and only check the health of your teeth (and nag about brushing techniques >>)

Yes I hate the dentist they are so annoying. I had to go last month to get a tooth removed from my mouth and yes it did hurt badly

I go to the dentists like every 6 months (these are check-up appointments anyway). It ain't so bad of a place, but it's rather dull and oldish for me...

OMG I hate the dentists! I go about once every year, but I usually go on my own. I take very good care of my teeth, so I never have to have any fillings or anything. I've never once had any metal on my perminate teeth besides my braces, but when I had my baby teeth I didn't give a damn about my teeth. They basically all rotted.

It's been a good while since I visited them, at least a year. These days I just go in for my yearly checkup; if my mom remembers it, she'll make us go. My teeth are in perfect shape, and since I'm done with the whole orthodontist thing, I don't need the dentists to pull teeth anymore. I lost so many teeth due to my orthodontic treatment. D:

I was close to making a trip recently. My tooth and gum hurt. Then I flossed and the swelling stopped. Now we'll go when my mom can make an appointment. I hope I go before I move out.

I haven't been to the dentist since last year.

I used to go to the orthodontist every month until I lost my retainer, now I will have to pay to get the rest of the treatments done if I feel like it. I don't feel like going through braces again.

I haven't been to the dentist in a really long time, but I'm no stranger to it. I actually had to have the majority of my first set of teeth pulled (and a few of my permanent teeth too), because my mouth was really small and all of those teeth wouldn't fit. :\

My dentist is one of my dad's friends from high school though, so he doesn't scare me. He's cool.

We don't have money to spend on useless dentists. I only go if I'm in pain, and if I tell my mom I want to, which hardly ever happens (because I hate dentists).

It's been several years, at least. I don't plan on going anytime soon, either.
