Hello all! Welcome to the Battle League Challenge, a fight to the finish for any true-blue Pokemaniac or hardcore Pokemon trainer. If you're looking for a challenge (and also looking for a neat prize if you win), then you've come to the right place.

What is the Pokemon Battle League?
It's a team of expert trainers, much like the actual Elite 4... only the Battle League doesn't suck. It consists of three Ranks, each more difficult than its predecessor Rank. Once you qualify to enter the League, you may battle your way up to become the Rank Leader to win a fabulous prize, and then take the ultimate test against the Grand Master in the Master Rank Challenge. If you happen to win the final showdown, you will achieve the Rank of Grand Master yourself, and you will be considered the Ultimate Pokemon Trainer!

Rules and Regulations
For Each Battle...
1 - 6 Pokemon, Level 100 for every battle
2 - No Legendaries or Ubers - if you try to sneak one in, you will be immediately disqualified. If you have questions about whether one Pokemon is an Uber or not, do ask before using it. Besides that, there will in fact be a screening process; see below for details.
3 - No clauses, any move is useable.
4 - When you are in the League, you must consistently use the same team of six Pokemon - no switching team mates.
5 - Have fun, and no flaming! No one likes a sore loser; just remember: there is always someone better.

The Screening Process
To ensure that all hopeful League Members are legit in their team (ie, no hacked Pokemon with perfect IVs in every stat, or maxed out stats), there will indeed be a screening process, performed by the mighty Samson. You have two choices in how to go about the process:
1 - A Screening Battle: Plain and simply, you battle the Screener and he will determine if your team is legit.
2 - A Screening Trade: Much more simply; you will go into the WiFi trade screen with the Screener, and he will check the stats to make sure none are hacked.
Once you've passed the Screening Process, it's on to the League!

The League Members
As mentioned, the League conists of three Ranks, and a Master Rank.

Okay... how exactly does this work?
It's very simple! Well... not really. But I'll try to explain it to the best of my ability. Here we go... once you pass the screening process; you will battle one of the trainers in Rank One. If you lose, you have the option to battle another trainer. It's pretty much "fight 'till ya win!" here. But you must win at least one battle against a Member of Rank One to enter the rank yourself. Now YOU may be challenged by prominent challengers hoping to enter League! But you don't have to stay as a Rank One Member. To advance to the next Rank, you must challenge a Member of the Rank directly above yours (do the math... if you're in Rank One, challenge someone in Rank Two!), or two other people you have not battled yet in your own Rank, and if you are lucky enough to defeat the Member of your choice, you will advance into the next Rank; if you battled a Member of a higher Rank, that Member will be booted down into your position in the Rank below. If you defeat the Members of your own Rank, you will proceed and no one will be booted anywhere. Continue this process (I will write a "simple guide" shortly) until you get to the Rank Leader. There is only ONE Rank Leader, and you must face him and defeat him to obtain his position, and move onto the final Rank: the Master Rank. Once again, there is only ONE Master Rank Member, called the League Grand Master, and you must have a showdown with him if you wish to obtain the Rank of Grand Master, "Overseer of the Battle League". Not only this, but when you do obtain Master Rank, you will awarded a prize - listed below. But beware! Others will be coming to battle you now, in an aspiration to take your Rank. So be sure you're prepared!
Quick Guide:
Step One: Go through the Screening Process with Samson
Step Two: Battle and defeat one Member from Rank One - if you win, you are now a Member of Rank One
Step Three: To advance, battle and defeat a Member of Rank Two - if you win, you will switch Ranks with the Member you challenged, OR: battle two Members of your own Rank that you have not battled yet to proceed without booting anyone out of the Rank above.
Step Four: Repeat "Step Three" until you battle your way up to Rank Leader - if you win, you are now the sole Rank Leader, and ready for the final confrontation
Step Five: Challenge the Master Rank - if you win, you take over as Grand Master and win a prize (awarded by the Host)
The Prize
I, the Host of this, am currently getting my hands on a pack full of Legendaries, which I will be using to give out as prizes. If requested, one could substitute this for an Item, or Berry (I happen to have the rare stat changing ones from my Emerald) if you so choose. Here is a list of the soon to be prizes:

"Now," I hear you cry, "this is all interesting... but where do I sign up?"
Very simple: announce your challenge right here in this thread, and the Screener will contact you for the Screening Process. Once that is done, you will begin with your first battle - contact someone in Rank One you wish to battle (use this thread as your source for announcement).
Now, because of time differences among Members, you must be patient in your battles if there is a specific Member you wish to challenge. However, we do want every League Member to be a frequent visitor to the forums and be able to battle at least every other day, if not every day. If you remain idle for too long, you may be booted out of the League.
Also, new Ranks will be created once more Members join - we're thinking 5-8 Members per Rank.
There will be Updates at the bottom of the thread, telling the recent news in the League, new Members, or maybe even a few winners. Check there for any "recent happenings".
