The Pokemon Gen 1 Tier List: Discussions

After having played Gen 1 about 4 times now I decided to make a tier list of the pokemon that you can use in a single player run. I decided to rank the pokemon based on their usefulness in type match ups, how easy they are to obtain, their stats, and how necessary some are to make it through the game. I am aware that my tier list is not perfect, but I wanted to start a discussion like this. If you want to make your own tier list then click here to make it. I want to see and hear about what everyone else thinks because I'm certain more people out there have more experience than me in gen 1.

Spoiler: My Tier List in question

After having played all of gen 1 multiple times due to having to play Stadium, I decided to also take you up on the offer, the list mainly talks about how they are used in singleplayer more than anything, I placed mewtwo in the "never used" tier since... well it is impossible to use mewtwo in a singleplayer run of pokémon red, blue or yellow haha

Cant say I played gen 1 all that much, but I randomly saw this and it made me a little curious:
Why is Sandslash S if it doesnt learn any ground type moves naturally? Is it high-attack STAB Dig/EQ from TM? Then how about even-higher-attack Thick Club-Marowak?
What does Persian do? never used that one before... Or do you just need Pay Day?
What does Clefable have over its copy, Wigglytuff, that ranks it 2 whole tiers higher?
Why is Mew S when its pretty much unobtainable?

Thick club didn't exist in gen 1,
Persian gets both thunderbolt and bubblebeam, aswell as a high critical hit rate, meaning that persian, if it uses Slash (which has stab) will 100% crit
Wigglytuff in gen 1 has no special attack, meaning it can't do much damage, only thing it has over clefable is its hp (which it'll lose rather quickly, tho giving it bide could fix such things) and it learning body slam through level up, Clefable however is good all around
Mew I have no idea why they put it in tbh

I put Sandslash in S tier because it is easily obtained early in the game, has good stats all around, and can be taught swords dance and strength rather easily. Not to mention being mono-ground means it only takes 2x the damage from water instead of 4x. Mew I placed in S tier because it is possible to obtain early in the game through the trainer-fly/mew glitch. Marowak is sadly found much later than Sandslash and its stats are overall weaker than Sandslash's, but I think it is still okay.

A pretty solid tier list. Any Pokemon I think that has been put too low is really me wishing it is better then it is or easier to train.

I've replayed OG Red the most out of any video game I've ever played and this is the team I've settled on and have been using for almost two decades:

    Fearow
    Kadabra/Alakazam
    Nidoking
    Lapras
    Raichu
    Charizard
