What's a bigger shame is that Patrat has one of the better looking shinies in the games. However, it's on a crap fillermon like Patrat and as it evolves the shiny looks horrible.

Patrat could have been part dark. Maybe give it prankster since it has access to hypnosis. That would have made sense given that it knows nasty plot, assurance, and pursuit along with the biting moves.

That too. I cannot tell if it is supposed to be an angry rat or angry beaver. Even its evolution is confusing with the name "watchog."

I always start at 10 to give pokemon a fair chance, and Watchog has one positive I find. It is Lenora's ace pokemon. Also Lenora's pretty.

Watchog has eerie eyes with hypnosis. The next hypno but creepier.

Watchog could not learn bullet seed until ultra sun/moon despite that its pokedex entries stating it could since b/w1. That will never not be funny to me.

No matter how hard Game Freak tries they cannot omit this line from our memories. What makes Watchog more unsettling is that its vest is supposed to resemble an essential worker's vest. Like for construction sites or traffic officer.

Watchog's movepool is rather shallow. It has hypnosis, nasty plot, confuse ray and super fang. That's really it. Raticate has super fang and is a better because of its speed being noticeably higher than Watchog's.

Watchog can learn good moves from TM's, but that still doesn't make me want to use it.

Discarded like the rest. And now, Game Freak added another normal pokemon. The boy, Lillipup.

A dogmon, and you know what, I think Lillipup is underrated. I had one in my team. It is considered an intelligent pokemon.

This one is cuter than Patrat, and also a much more solid early route normal mon since the final form has two good abilities and pretty good stats overall.
