I decided to make a new banner in PSP, this is my personal favourite so far from all the bannes I have made in the past so I thought that a thread should be made and also to show that PSP is a really good program to use then a lot of people think.

Sometimes I seem to have trouble with affective backgronds, and after a bit of practising I ended up making a proper (custom) background with the scanlines you see at the back.

    Well here it is ^^

it's pretty good, i only see 2 things. the sprite sort of just... restarts over to where it started; i'd prefer it if he walked back over there or something x.x the bg looks a bit too grainy, but other than that, nice job ^^

It looks (SWEAR WORD)ing awesome man.

I wish I could do something like that - I COULD, but I don't have PSP or anything cool like that.

If I could, I'd make the flames in my sig MOVE.

Hmm the speed of animation is just right for the dramatic effect. As AC mentioned, smoother transition between the end and start can be used.

The white text on the top right can be changed slightly. Since you are using a sprite, maybe the text at the bottom can be edited a little? Making it sharper, more distinct. The area overlapping the head can be cleared out to make it appear from beneath.

Also... I'm not sure if this is intended, but there's a slight 1px area with nothing around the images. For the one on the left it looks fine, but on the right it's uneven. Possibly; either remove it or make it consistent.

I used to OWN adobe ppl w/ psp7..

If you know what your doing, photoshop cant do anything more really.

Thanks for the tips, now that you mention it, the text could be changed a bit to add a better effect with the overall banner layout and theme and the pixels could be altered a bit more.
