The Powerlocke Challenge
Hi all! I'm here to introduce the Powerlocke Challenge! This challenge is just like a regular nuzlocke, except with a twist: you can only use moves with a base power of 60 or less! This causes a more strategy-orientated and difficult later game where status moves have more value.
Spoiler:
1. Only the first Pokémon of each route may be caught. If you faint it, tough luck!
1a. Dupes Clause: If you encounter a Pokémon you have already caught or belongs to an evolutionary line you have as your first encounter, you may find a new encounter.
1b. Shiny Clause: If you encounter a shiny, you may catch it and use it.
1c. Legendary Clause: Legendaries, like Zapdos, do not count as an encounter.
2. All Pokémon caught must be nicknamed to create a larger emotional bond.
3. If a Pokémon faints, it is considered dead and must be released or boxed.
4. Pokémon may only use status moves and moves with a base power of 60 or less.
5. Moves such as Magnitude without a set base power and multi-hit moves such as Bullet Seed may be used.
6. OHKO moves are not permitted.
7. Technician and held items that raise base power are allowed.
8. HM slaves are permitted, however, they cannot be used in battle.
9. Total hacks are permitted for single challenges. Region hacks are permitted for ultimate challenges.
10. All banned Pokémon in the Battle Maison + Mega Lati@s are not allowed.
11. Trading is only allowed to evolve Pokémon. You may hack in Pokémon that evolve by trade if you're using a rom. However, if they evolve by trading with a hold item, wait until you legally obtain that item. An evolution patch also works.
