I'm hosting ASoIaF/GoT, but I have no idea when it'll start. I might need to tweak a few roles or just reword some of my language in the role posts, since there's some complex stuff. But I will try to add as many people as possible. I don't mind having 30-40 or even more if we are able. It would be really crazy.

So uh, I've been reading a lot more of the Death Note manga, and it is so good. As such, I've decided on the following things for Death Note Mafia:

-I retract my statement that the Mafia will not have anything to do with the actual series; it will instead be involved to at least the extent of role nicknames based on characters (e.g the Detective is L, and the leader of the Mafia group is called Kira), and that it may involve some minor plot elements from the series (but no spoilers, hopefully). However, the game will otherwise have nothing to do with the canon universe of Death Note.

-I also retract my statement that the game will be mostly vanilla; reading the manga, parts of it almost feel Mafia-esque. And a lot of parts in the story have inspired some interesting ideas for the game, and perhaps some new twists on vanilla roles.

Also, in case I haven't made it clear before, the Death Note will not be the only note. Other roles will also use new, made-up versions of supernatural notebooks, though it's just a plot element.

As far as I'm aware, there wasn't simply one Death Note in the series either. Of course, they all did the same thing but there were lots of them. I presume you'll be changing what they do though, to make it more Mafia-esque and so on ;)
