There's a thread for the battle server, so I figured I'd make one for the IRC Chat/'PokeCommunity Live'.

Do you go on the IRC chat?
If so, how often do you log on?
Do you think IRC is a dated medium?

Personally, I've been going on the IRC chat on and off since 2006. (More on than off, probably). Back in the day, it used to be a lot more active because more of the staff was involved on there.
Being on the IRC chat is how I came out of my shell at PC and made friends with people like Aoriaku, Scizz, Signomi, Jake, Cowrie, Derrick, Luke, God, and many others.

These days, it's... pretty dead. I'm not too certain what happened, but sometime between the last time I was online before my more recent hiatus it just sorta..died. :( I still frequent it in hopes it'll come back to life, but..alas, with no promotion/events, there is no incentive for people to come.

What say you?

I've been a few times but it was dead every time really :( I generally prefer the battle server for chatting but if the IRC would pick back up I would visit!

I never go there, because the battle server's chat is way more fun and interesting.

I often visited IRC earlier but that server never active and remain always dead so i prefer going to battle server which is mostly active and have many interesting topics.

i spent a good chunk of 2011 in #tpc and met a bunch of great people. nowadays i no longer see any reason to go there because the people that i used to talk with in the irc now uses the battle server.

it was pretty great back in 2011 though.

Ive tried to use it but the set up process is so annoying, so not used it, would use it if it was more integrated into the forum.

I usually just hang out at the battle server, it's way more fun with all those "interesting" topics. I should definitely give this one a try though!

i used to visit when i first joined in hopes that i was online at the wrong time but it seems like any time is the wrong time. it'd be nice to see the place live up to it's name, pokecommunity live.

Not since the last bastion of active conversation left, #heaven, died. Unfortunately, once that lovely little chat died there was no point for me to go on #tpc anymore :/
