When I got into Faeries & Daemons, I was initially quite overwhelmed with the number of special roles it had, since the games I'd played before usually have more regular Innocents than players with night actions. But I got used to it after a while, and some games after that started to incorporate more creative roles in them as well, and I'm starting to enjoy seeing all these special abilities.

How about you guys? Do you like it when games have lots of special, interesting roles, or do you prefer it when they keep it simple and only have a couple basic/'traditional' ones (ie. Doctor, Investigator, Bodyguard, etc)? How many roles do you think is too many/too few?

I love the games the more roles there are. It creates an entirely wild and unique experience. I would be interested in seeing a straight Vanilla Mafia at some point to see how we like it. We're all used to these wild adventures though. :P

oh hush you know you love it

IMO. The more special roles the better! It encourages creativity and strategy amongst the players

Special roles makes it more interesting, so I'm in for more special roles.

Vanilla roles are boring. Specials all the way! XD

It has been pretty fun adapting to all these special roles in HG. Especially ones that are hidden. You gotta be extra careful. Makes it fun :D

i really love all the special roles in Faeries & Lycans for example, but to be honest i think i'd hate to have a Jester in the mix, lol
