3rd Gen Thick Club

omg. (leaf green)
I've caught more than 30 wild cubones in the top floor of pokemon tower. Im catching them from the same square.
NONE have the **** thick club
plz give me some suggestions

hmm its purely random i guess you should just keep trying
try using a pokemon such as zigzagoon who will rob the items off the pokemon you encounter
or try a move such as thief, it just saves all that time of catching the pokemon

sorry. how does theif work? is it 100% steal pokemon's item? how do u know that the poke actually HAS an item?

well actually its 99.6%
and it should only fail if the pokemons not holding an item so you can move on

for picking up items around you, you would use your item finder ^^
yes "pick-up" is also handy for dragon scales - rare candies - sun stones

i think theres more info on this in one of the FAQ's if im not mistaken

does NOT having the universal pokedex affect whether u can get the thick club...i feeling like a pokemaniac now.... few dozen cubones. NONE had the club

No it doesn't There's only a 10 percent chance of finding it so don't kill yourself over it.

When in trouble - use Theif or Covet. They're the only two moves that can give an opponents item to you. Knock Off doesn't give the item to you. They're really weak moves, so it doesn't matter if you use a high level Pokemon. If it doesn't give back an item, just run. If it does - run anyways and give it to your Marowak. ^_^

hrm....is there anyway to encounter more cubones? Im currently in pokemon tower top floor.... im sweet scenting in a particular box which has cubones. i think the cubone rate is 10%

Looks like there's some Cubones on Seven Island's Sevault Canyon, check your Pokedex. Also Marowak can be found on Victory Road and Seven Island although it's pretty uncommon. :disappoin

Oh you know where Zigzagoon is in FR/LG?

Nope, cos you have to trade from Ruby/Sapphire to get one. Best thing to do is to level up an Alakazam to get Trick, don't let him hold any items, then use Trick on the Cubone to see if they have a Thick Club or not. Alakazam learns Trick at L43.

Not bragging or anything, but I think I got a Thick Club on my second capture, and I forgot all about Thick Club.

The only reason I caught two Cubones was because I didn't like the first one's nature, so I released him.
