    You may only start this challenge after you have beaten the Metal and Color challenge.

    Rules:
    1.) This challenge begins in R/S/E and ends when you beat the elite four in the same game.
    2.) In this challenge, you must only use Pokémon that fall into the UU or NU tier for R/S/E. The tier list can be found here: https://www.smogon.com/rs/tiers/uu https://www.smogon.com/rs/tiers/nu. If one Pokémon is banned (not in the UU or NU tier) then that whole family is banned. Exampli gratia; Claydol is in banned so Baltoy is also banned.
    3.) HM slaves are allowed, you may cheat ONLY to get Mew and may only use it as an HM slave. Valid Mew cheats are: Find in grass GameShark/Action Replay codes. Transport to Faraway Island GS/AR codes are NOT permitted.
    4.) Trading is allowed only for evolutionary purposes only.
    5.) Emulators are fine.
    6.) Try to update regularly.
    7.) To sign up, just tell me what version you want to use.

    9.) Please post the time it is when you start, and when you end.
    10.) As it seems there are no starters in the UU tier, feel free to pick any of the starters and use them throughout the game ^-^
    11.) NUs count as UUs.
    12.) If you see a shiny Pokémon, feel free to catch and use it.
    [EDIT:] If there is a Pokémon that is not on the list at all, check for someone in the same family. If there are three, check for all three. If all of them are UU, the Pokémon not listed is also UU. Exampli gratia: Aaron and Laron are not liusted, but Aggron is UU, so the whole family is permitted. Here are some others:

    As I already said in the RBY/GSC part of this challenge, I am going to play this generation as well. I already started in Ruby and am currently struggling to get my Poochyena up high so it can beat Roxanne. Considering to add a Beautifly to my team for Absorb reasons.

    Update: Finally beat Roxanne after evolving Poochyena. Caught a Mawile in Iron Cave, named Cookies!. Dropped Mightyena. Arrived at Mauville and just realized I'm ridiculously Magnemite/ton weak with 1 steel type that can't hit other Steels as my entire team. But I have a plan involving a Roselia, even though it might take some time to get one up...

    Yes, I know Mawile has Caterpie-like special attack, and jolly doesn't improve that, but the Dark Attacks still do more than Astonish, my only alternative would have done. Especially with Fake Tears.

    hah, alright, time to make a more ridiculous team than my gold team in the other challenge.

    UPDATE:
    oh yes, i started.

    started off by catching a wurmple and evolved it, luckily, into a beautifly. the beautifly carried me through roxanne's gym to the point at which i obtained a mawile, and soon thereafter, once i beat brawly, i dropped beautifly. mawile helped me through the beach at slateport and then i caught a plusle. plusle and mawile unleashed some sick combos on wattson. actually, no, mawile died and pulsle wrecked a magneton with a spark. mawile stayed with me for a while until i caught a spinda. spinda and plusle owned the fire gym, and somehow managed to beat norman as well. plusle then swept the flying gym.

    so i did all the stuff up to wallace's gym, which i am about to conquer. i also caught my last team member.

    i gave the disc a macho brace and repeatedly killed spindas, so its special attack isn't TOO bad.

    Update: Spend quite some time on getting a Natural Cure Roselia with -Attack nature, the nature was not the problem, I was just having bad luck with the abilitys. Beat some trainers. Beat Wattson on second attempt, on the first one Roselia got knocked out by Voltorb's Selfdestruct and Mawile didn't stand a chance against Magneton. Did more stuff and beat Team Magma at Mt. Chimney. Beat Flannery, this took some attempts since my entire team is fire weak.

    See previous Mawile comment, since I didn't use it too much. My 4 Zigzagoons already found 2 King's Rocks, and since I don't have any other items to equip (already sold Miracle Seed because I was not planning to use Roselia at that time), I am using them now.

    Sets like this are the definition of annoying. Sadly LS doesn't affect Grass types, so they wall this thing, this sucks when I already have some DTs up and then have to switch out

    mmm, yes, i beat the elite four and steven. pretty incredible. only had to use....a bunch of revives and hyper potions.

    Beat Brawly (i had skipped him) and Norman, this took me some attempts, stupid Facade...
    Fought my way to the weather institute and beat tem Magma there. Got my final team member, Castform. Did some sidequests (abandoned Ship, New Mauville,...) to get TMs and leveled Castform up to level 35. Cleared the Desert Area, don't know why. Next: Surfing to Dewford to get a Sludge Bomb TM for Mawile.

    Dragonair has the same Sp.A and it worked quite well for me as (STABless) Special Attacker in the duo-ability challenge, so this should work as well. Powder Snow isn't that bad, it has an incredible freezing chance, so I'm keeping it until I get the Water Pulse TM to complete the moveset (and make Mystic Water actually do something)
     
    I beat Winona and finished the Team Magma HQ. And I noticed that Mawile can't learn Shadow Ball - despite what Bulbapedia says - which destroys my moveset planning.

    Update: Beat Elite 4.


    Sidney: Roselia beat Mightyena, Castform beat some more. For some reason I sent out Mawile against Sharpedo, it lost (despite having Brick Break) Roselia revenged and lost against Absol. Castform finished it off.

    Phoebe: Roselia. It killed everything with Leech Seed. Without much trouble, except for one Curse at the beginning of the battle that forced it to switch out.

    Glacia: Castform (for most of the battle in Hail form) destroyed her with Flamethrowers and Teabolts.

    Drake: I was not sure if Castform could OHKO Shelgon since it's not 4x weak, so I started off with Roselia - and then realized Leech Seed was out of PP. I let Roselia paralyze it and throw some Magical Leafes before it died. Tried to kill it with Mawile, but he switched to Flygon and killed Mawile. Castform destroyed him easily wit Ice Beam then, so the sacrifices of Mawile and Roselia were probably uneccessary.

    Steven: Castform beat Skarmory, which set up some Spikes, but they did not matter. Mawile lost to Armaldo, I forgot the part bug typing makes Fighting attacks hit it neutral. Castform killed it with Water Pulse and Claydol with Ice Beam. Against Aggron I sent out Roselia because I thought Castfrom can't hit hit super-effective, forgot about Water Pulse at that moment. Roselia lost, but Castform killed Aggron and Cradily easily and 2HKOd Metagross with Flamethrower, and took a Meteor Mash like nothing.

    Every Pokemon in my team was the master of something. Mawile here was the master of fail. It did hardly any damage later on, and could never take much hits. LVP.

    Castform was the master of coverage, a thing that both my other teammembers lacked. I overused it later on because it was so much better than Mawile and so much easier to use than Roselia. Overall my MVP.
