I doubt we'll ever see Ash's Primeape again, however I hope we get to see his Pidgeot...but that is unlikely as well. Alot of people haven't seen the earlier episodes/movies so if they brought them back now those people would be confused.

that in my opnion is very unfortunate also I hope some day charizard will be ash's again permanently and also for ash to re use some of his old pokemon at oaks lab again like he did breifly in battle frontier

No, he said the same thing to Pidgeot.

He told pidgeot he'd be back when he was back from delivering the GS ball.
He told Butterfree he'd tell the other pokemon he was just on a vacation, and would come back one day.
Lapras did come back for one episode.
Larvitar... He had a close bond with him, but still returned him to his mother... I could see Ash running into him in this seasons "Battle frontier" involving the fight, resort, etc, areas. As one IS a desert...
Primeape he gave to someone to train, in the original japanese version, I don't believe he ever said he'd come back, but I could be wrong...

i don't think they will ever show up, especially his Primeape. He was not with his Primeape long enough for a good reunion. Maybe his Pidgeot will show up, like Evilcheese said, in a movie or maybe in an episode.

In the whole Pokemon anime, there have been so many promises made. I doubt many of them will get fulfilled.
