My computer is going in for an upgrade soon. Gigaybite has screwed me out of Phenom so I'm putting an AMD 6400 Dual Core Processor in. I'm also replacing the DVD-RW drive, its not functioning 100% properly/wearing out.

Warned for trolling, don't try to pick a fight. ;)

Can't switch, I'm locked into my Gigabyte motherboard. I fell for the Phenom arguments of backwards compatibility (AM2 and AM2+), and AMD plus Gigabyte didn't fail, they epically failed on that.

I really think if were looking price per performance, AMD has Intel on the run. The tri-cores could be a real ace for AMD as there essentially failed quads with one core disabled. Right now Intel might have performance, but they don't have price or low-end. AMD is slowly but surely moving into the dominate leader in those areas.

If I would have known what I know now, would I have gone Intel? DUH. But do I still enjoy my system a ton. You bet. I'm putting in an AMD 6400 3.2Ghz Dual core in my machine, I have the parts here but didn't have time to do it yet. After this, no more money is going into this computer unless a catastrophic failure occurs.

Hay, don't be so Jealous. Even my system has some minor issues.

Cons:
Locked into AMD. Motherboard is not Phenom capable. I'm putting in the fastest 64 X2 processor I could buy, the 6400 3.2 Ghz Dual Core.
X-Fi Sound Card - Not super impressive. Drivers suck it hard. Even with 7.1 surround sound I have. But I can still blast anyone out I want to XD.
Worn out DVD-RW drive - My IDE Lite-on drive is slowly but surely dying. Its being replaced with an SATA Samsung Drive.
Runs HOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. I don't need heating in my room anymore.
I have a USB issue with one of my front ports, its a crossed cable somewhere but I don't wanna dig into the unit right now to fix it as my machine is going in for the refits I discussed above.

But I have some good points all the same.

Pros:
The video card is good. Crysis is the only game that gives me problems. It gives everyone problems.
System has tons of processing power, system rarely has a full lockup. Speedy machine. And I'm putting in another processor even XD.
Dual Monitor: Just a blessing. Such a blessing. ^_^

I really have nothing to complain about. It does what it needs to do.

Four year old Dell Inspiron 6000. If you care enough then you already know its specifications, or will look it up on their site.

The biggest thing that I've always hated about this thing is the 16:9 screen which can't keep its ratio correct when displaying any resolution above 1024x768 (doesn't anyone make 4:3 anymore? T_T).

Of course I didn't buy this laptop... When I acquire the money and if I acquire the knowledge, I'll be making my own PC.

I almost feel ashamed posting mine, but here goes!!

It's an Acer Aspire, the new little one the 3600 or something! with squat graphics card can't even blow up a bomb on a Super NES ROM!!

I hate it also because it runs Vista!! and Vista SUCKS!!

EDIT: although one good thing is that it has TWO 250GB drives, which I love so I can keep all my Anime on one and my games and programs on the other!
