    Hey guys,

Some of you may or may not be wondering why I'm not posting much around here anymore. And simply, it comes down to this - there's not much for me to post about anymore.

New X/Y Pokemon games? Right now it's 5% actual info and 95% bizarre speculation, and I certainly don't need to contribute to that bizarre speculation with my random rants about how Bernie Madoff should make a cameo appearance or how the region's name should follow in the footsteps of Unova and be called Uelectraestatewagon. Granted, the girl trainer is cute, but it's really hard to be excited about a game when the vast majority of it is a giant question mark.

Old Pokemon games? The same topics come up over and over again and I'm tempted to answer "What is your favorite Pokemon?" with "Quality Inn." And the less said about my intense hatred for some characters and elements of the Pokemon franchise, the better. For all parties involved.

So yeah. I'll still sign on every couple of days or so to check messages and such, and maybe post now and then, but I really think my time for Pokemon has passed. Because let's face it, when a franchise emphasizes the included creatures and your favorite aspect of it are the cute girls, that might be a sign it's time to move on.

Well, PC has more than just pokemon to talk about, but I can certainly fully understand the want and need to distance yourself from unnecessary speculation and such. I can also understand if your interest in the game has waned, because it really hasn't changed a whole lot in the past 3 gens and it feels like the new pokemon they're coming up with are just not as good as they once were.

Ah well, PC will miss it's resident Buick enthusiast, but so long as you check in, I think we'll manage. x3

Aw, goodbye my fave Leaf fan.

We do have some non-Pokemon sections anyway, and I understand why X & Y is not releasing news a lot but yeah, farewell!

Like Pachy said, there's plenty more to PC than just Pokemon, but if you think it's your time to move on, so be it.

In our defense, you also want to talk about the same topics (Leaf and Hotels and Buicks) so just because some of us might not be as interested as you in those topics, it doesn't mean there's no place on the forum for you or that others should change what they want to talk about. (You can't expect it from others when you do the same thing.) Though I do understand your qualms, there is a whole other bunch of sections for you to post about too. Either way it's up to you, because you just want to get enjoyment out of this place and it hasn't been doing that for you (totally understandable.)
I digress, I hope you take care until X and Y get released and I see you back here, or if you're leaving for good I wish you all the best in your life.
    Cheers, man!

I love the idea of X and Y but feel the same way about the section rn - it's basically useless speculation and over-the-top and I really dislike it, haha. Maybe we'll see you around some more when there's more to talk about on that front (:

…I haven't touched that forum since January 12th or so :p

But I'm feeling the same way lately. For me, it's more of a "I don't want to think" thing from being tired at school more than anything. Maybe once you get a bit more rest (whenever that is) we'll see you around more! <3

Sorry, I was in a rush to post this so I didn't really explain why I've gone inactive on the non-Pokemon sections.

For the past, I'd say at least a year, the bulk of my activity here has indeed been in OVP. I used to be active in the old Japanese Entertainment section, otaku that I am, but even before it was collapsed into General Entertainment the bulk of discussion bacame focused on series I never got into, so I couldn't contribute much there either. OVP has become stale as well, as topics pass the 30-day-old mark and are resurrected - there are only so many times I can post about my favorite places to shop, what superpower I would want, or my dreams that seem to have a weird focus on my high school days, and so on. Since I hardly keep up with modern trends outside of anime, I really can't post about those either. So I did try posting on a variety of topics (in OVP at least) before I found myself staring at the same topics that I answered a month or two prior in an older thread about the same thing.

But y'all totally forgot about my additional obsessions with the Pretty Cure anime series and major fraud cases - not that those are any more mainstream xD

And I don't like the way X/Y have been handled as far as information so far - it's like a car maker promising this revolutionary new vehicle and only revealing what the windshield wiper blades look like (also a reason why I'm not liking this simultaneous release in Japan and overseas - I like to be able to reference some Japanese player's run through the game so I know what Pokemon appear and can plan my team accordingly, before I even make the trip to the store to pick it up.) Let's face it, I don't care about what the Pokemon look like. I need to know if certain unsavory characters/Pokemon will show up (sadly, one such unsavory Pokemon WILL show up; I'm hoping my Public Enemy #1 trainer doesn't). And I need to see official trainer fan-art to answer that one nagging question I have about her - tights or thigh-highs?

Except for said girl in X/Y, nothing that HAS been revealed has me remotely interested. I know what the revelaed Pokemon look like on account of fan art searches, but ask me to name one and I'll just stare blankly and mutter something like, "Jacksonville?" The intro video did quite a bit to lower my level of excitement (guess who jumps around and squeals like an idiot at the very start of said video?) - worse than B2/W2's trailer video, actually. I'm kinda wishing the girl trainer wasn't attractive so I could completely wash my hands of any interest in the new games - B2/W2 was supposed to be my final Pokemon game but now that's up in the air. But dammit, I'm such a sucker for a cute face and nice outfit:/ I might have posted in X/Y twice or three times - once to comment on the girl, once to say that I don't want any cameo appearances this time around, and I can't remember what else, if I posted anything else at all.

The speculation is indeed getting out of control. Some of it is so far out of left field it actually makes my "Bernie Madoff as uber-end-boss with Lv93 Pokemon" idea seem reasonable. Then again, this IS a fandom that comes up with equally bizarre ideas for romantic character pairings, so perhaps I shouldn't be too surprised. Maybe I should make an entire blog post with odd, nonsensical speculations about these games.

Despite giving B2/W2 a decent score (another Pokemon game purchase largely fueled by a cute protagonist), I haven't touched it since the middle of January. I ran out of things to do in the game and the franchise in general doesn't keep me entertained like it used to.

Of course, the biggest thing I'm concerned with right now is my upcoming move to North Carolina which will be in June or July.

tl;dr: I have been focusing the bulk of my activity on the non-Pokemon sections (OVP) for at least a year, but even those are getting stale. X/Y feature a cute girl trainer but literally nothing else (so far) to hold my interest and I'm not liking the lack of concrete information. Also, I'm bored with the franchise as a whole and I'm focusing on relocating to a nicer, warmer climate.
