To all Tokyo Mew Mew Fans:
Accorting to a recent article, 4Kids has liscensed Tokyo Mew Mew and they're calling it Hollywood Mew Mew...:(
They're also dubbing Ojamajo Doremi. They think Doremi is SEXY... why? She's 8 years old!!
Anyway, I hope not to disappoint TMM fans and OD fans, I hope we can save TMM..... As for OD, it's dead, unless miracle shines upon it.
The 7th book of Tokyo Mew Mew is coming out May 11, 2004.

hollywoodmewmew.com has good ideas on saving our Beloved Mew Mews.

Ohh... I've heard the Tokyo Mew Mew news. =\ I'm trying to figure out when they're going to air it. It's going to be on the FoxBox, which comes on channel 892 (Satellite) on Saturday mornings. I hope they don't give the characters dumb names, especially Ichigo. But I bet they will. I saw on an interview where one of the 4Kids staff members said that they're going to 'eliminate all things Japanese-related in this show'. Nooooo!

The Ojamajo Doremi News is newer.
Ahem, it'd be He** if 4kids tried to dub like Di Gi Charat or somethin' .

Plz, write to them and ask for an uncut, subtitled Version of TMM, but, I think it's already out, you gotta look around.
    Much Luv,
    MB

That?s what 4kids does best, eliminating that Japanese things out of it. =\ Subs are better, IMO?I haven?t seen TMM though.

I know where you can watch some music videos, so you could see the Anim? in action! ^_^ It doesn't have the voices, but it's still good.

It's a new SAVE TMM thingy:
Don't take the logo thing harshly... ;)
Ooh, yeah! *_* E-mail that to them!

Really? Would you mind telling me? I?d like to see what captivates your interest so. =P

Yay! ^_^ Okay! Here's a link to the music videos: https://neko-tokyo.tripod.com/video.html I recommend 'Is it the Mew Beat?' and 'We Can (Do the Impossible)'. I've only seen a few so far. There are also voice clips, etc, somewhere on the site.

And... I think that these are going to be the dub names. I'm not entirely sure. I just read them from somebody else.

    Ichigo - Strawberry
    Mint - Mina
    Lettuce - Lory
    Pudding - Paddy
    Zakuro - Pam
    Ryou - Ryan
    Masaya - Mark

A girl named Strawberry? =_= O...kay. And Pudding is PADDY? And LORY? PAM?!? Geez, you'd think they could've been more creative, and come up with some names that actually relate to the characters. Ichigo has the only dub name like that. Even if those aren't the confirmed names, they'll still probably be something like that. Ugh. *goes off to attack the 4Kids staff*

Aww! The characters and art are very cute. Even if the dub is butchered, I may just watch it. ^_^ Thank you Kayleigh!

I heard about the Ojajmo Doremi thing about a year ago... but I'm very upset to hear Tokyo Mew Mew was actually changed to Hollywood Mew Mew. Just another reason why I hate 4Kids to the point of hunting down and killing the people who work for them. X3 (Er... no offense if anyone here works, or knows someone who works for them. o_O)

Since the manga's come out here already, wouldn't
    kids boycott the TV show?
Of course not. =\ If it's going to be available on TV and appeal to little kids who won't have read the manga, they're going to watch it. I don't think 4kids cares if a couple fans of the Japanese version boycott the show. It won't really make much of a difference. Besides, how many of you actually WOULD decide not to watch it? I mean, look at Yuugiou, I can't stand the dub, but I watch it anyway just because I like to see what was changed and stuff. The same would likely be true for TMM. ._.

Lmao, and "Pam"? XD Isn't that some kind of spray to keep food from sticking to pans?

While I?m all for boycotting watered down dubs, it?s easier to watch than to, say download them on KaZaA. So I probably will watch it. Even if the hero can be found in my kitchen. ;p

I just ate the hero a few days ago. o_o; Lol, funny Japanese names...

Anyways, I'll definately still watch it, and I'll probably end up liking the English version as much as I like the Pok?mon dub. I actually prefer to watch the shows in English; it's the language I grew up speaking. I just hate that they would change so much of the show just to make it appeal for some kids who don't even know the difference. But still, why? There are a lot of Anim? shows that are popular here, and nothing except the language that the characters are speaking is changed. Like InuYasha, for example. (I don't think that they changed anything.) And I'm sure if they didn't edit out so much to make it cutesy-wutesy and perfect for little 8 and 9 year olds, they would get more older audiences as well as younger ones to watch it. Plus there's nothing wrong with learning about the Japanese culture. Hey, it beats having to read a whole book about it when you could just watch one show and learn several things.

Inuyasha is a pretty solid dub, IMO. 4Kids makes their dubs?well, for kids. =\

English is the language I wish I didn?t grow up speaking. x.x
