    Alright, so my hopes are high for a new laptop this christmas (99% chance of getting it) and one of my top priorities once I receive it is to start my server up again. I'm hoping I can organize a tourney around that time, so I was wondering what you guys might think.
     
    Dude, a tournament, sweetness in a bottle... I would love to be in a tourney... it would be an honor to be in one even...

    but i have to wonder, what would be any rules/restrictions for it?

    *chuckle* nope, no sarcasm... i love tournaments.... thou i would love to enter some official Nintendo Event tourneys... hmm... i should ask for information for tournaments hosted by nintendo... now where would i put that i wonder...
     
    Uhh...guys? I do believe he's talking about a Netbattle tournament. You know, when you play against pre-determined opponents under pre-determined times? It has nothing to do with Nintendo.

    Well, the last time I was in one of these (I think Husk was hosting) I only got to play one very bad game before other concerns took priority, not to mention that I couldn't find common online time with most of my opponents. Still, I'm willing to give this tourney stuff another shot, but what kind did you have in mind? Is it just a regular one or will there be set pokémon or suchlike? Also, I know this is sort of off-topic, but would you have any idea why NB would refuse to find servers? Mine can't find anything except for AA's mod server, and I'd hate to sign up for a tourney only to find that the bloody program won't co-operate.

    i am well aware that he was talking on the NetBattler, like i said, i love tournaments, and my wording shows i knew it was for NetBattler, i just want to enter official Nintendo Tournaments as well.

    I was unaware that you even used NB, shane.

    The tourney would most likely be an Advance OU Tourney with the tier I've made and posted on my forum. I just wanted to make sure that enough people would participate before I finalized this decision.

    As for your reg problem, Alter, has this been a long-term constant problem, or is this recent? To be honest, the reg itself might be screwed, as its down for me.
     
    Well, I haven't netbattled for a couple of weeks, so I'm not fully sure, but my brother gets to the servers just fine (I tried on the same time and it timed out for me), so I'm assuming that there's something wrong with either my connecting ability or my copy of Netbattle. I even reinstalled NB so it's probably not the latter. Meh, maybe there's a patch or something that I'm missing? I really don't know. :\
     
    I used to battle before my previous laptop crapped out on me and I couldn't run NB on it. Once I got my current laptop, I was able to use NB again and got back into for a short while. Free time though has recently become a precious commodity for me the past months. Between work and the family and a BLISTERING 26k dial up connection at home, you can see what I am up against. LOL I usually take about 30 minutes every day or so dropping by here and a few sports sites that I frequent.
     
    Got my laptop. We can have the tourney later on this week if you are all interested.
