3rd Gen trading from FireRed to Emerald

Hey guys!

Does anyone know at what point you can trade your pok?mon from FireRed into Emerald?

At the moment i'm in Petalburg City and I can go to the Pok?center and connect through the wireless corner and fight my FireRed pok?mon with my Emerald pok?mon... so they can interact and all.

But it keeps saying that I cannot trade with that trainer....

Um... you need to beat the Elite Four and get the National Pokedex. I think...

But what if he's trying to trade a R/S Pok?mon from FR? XP

What do you mean link errors?

I connected my FR to my Emerald and I had a battle through a wireless adapter... It is possible to trade from FR/LG to Emerald... the question is at what point is that possible...

Er... what I was saying was, when you get the National dex in Emerald, you can trade with FR and LG, and like I said, you get it after beating the Elite 4.
