2nd Gen Trading in Crystal

How do you trade from Crystal to Gold? It seems like this should be an easy thing to do, but my cartridges are not letting me trade.

You need the two cartriges, IN TWO GBC, with a GBC link cable. No GBA, no modern link cable. Unfortunateky :(

Actually, you can trade them using GBA consoles — you just need the Game Boy link cable.

Yes, you CAN use GBA, but must use the GBC link cable. Thank you for the help....

But if you are going to trade Pokemon from G/S/C to R/B/Y/G make sure the following is done
*!*Have all Kanto Pokemon (#1-151)
*!*Make sure that all of the Pokemon that are in your party have moves that exsicted in the R/B/Y/G era
*!*The same with the items
