trading in liquid crystal??

    does anyone know if your able to trade pokemon from liquid crystal to other games like fr/lg? i tried to but when its to the part when it chooses wether to become leader or join group it says the other person isnt able to participate or something, im trading between lc and ft,im using vba and im not sure which version it is, laz said it would be possible to trade and isnt that the purpose of the pcc in goldenrod? can someone plz help me?
