You should be able to trade it if you caught it legitimately or you cheated to get it, including the obedient bit.

It's your FRLG you need to worry about. If you have given Celio the plates on One Island, then you should be able to trade Mew between Emerald and FRLG. If you can't trade it between RS, then... maybe by cheating you can't be able to trade. I'm not sure...

He probably has japanese Emerald. Anyway, I think you need 2 get a National Dex on emerald too. ('Coz Emerald has new islands and stuff too like FRLG n_n).

EDIT: Oh and you can't trade between Japanese and English games. I tried it. You can't connect. So unless you have Japanese FRLG, then you won't be able to do it until Emerald comes out in english.

You are right and wrong. You do need the national dex ( but i dont know how to get it) and you can trade a japanese pokemon to an english game. The game translates everything except the name.

It is possible to trade between different language versions (since GBA games are not region specific like consoles). And it's up to us to decide when a post should be closed, not anyone else.
