Is there a way to trade to Gold to Ruby then to D/P? Cuz if there is do tell, there will be somthing good in it for you ^_^

No, there's no connectivity between the old games and the GBA/DS ones.

Most of the pokemon are in the game. Only old starters/legendaries really need to be sent over.

You'd obtain them in events for the GBA games. However, since those events aren't really that active anymore, all you can do is ask for the legendaries online in trades.

Mew : Obtained in Emerald (Catch it) *EVENT ONLY*

Mewtwo : uhhh hmmm gee where could this one be? (Firered, Leafgreen)

Lugia : Obtained in Emerald (Catch it) *EVENT ONLY*

Trio Birds : Firered, and Leafgreen

Trio Beasts : Firered (only one, depends on starter)), and Leafgreen (only one, depends on starter), or Pokemon Colosseum, catch them as shadow, purify for trading

That should cover SOME (not all)

Mew : Obtained in Emerald (Catch it) *EVENT ONLY* I don't believe they ever did the Ticket Event for North America so only if you hack to go to the island to get that Mew... For Japan yes they got the ticket. So the only way to get an English Mew is the Toys 'R Us event that took place September 30, 2006.

Just had to add some things there. 8D But no, you can't trade between the Color/Metal gen to the Advance/DS gen. D: There were some changes in the DVs (pokemon stats) so they aren't the same and it'd be hard to convert your Gold Typhlosion to the future generation way. Could be also something with link cables or wireless errors between them but they can't connect. You gotta basically either buy every game or find someone who will trade anything you're missing to complete your pokedex.
