Trainer Cards

From Gen 3 onwards the games have featured a Trainer Card. It varies from game to game but typically displays at the very least your name, Trainer ID, your current amount of money, date you started your adventure and the date you entered the Hall of Fame. It also displays your picture and sometimes your Gym Badges.

Is your Trainer Card important to you? Do you customise it if you can? Do you work to meet all the requirements to level up your Card? Which game has your favourite card?

I liked the Gen 5 Cards best because they had a lot of info and you could customise parts of it and sign the back! The pictures in XY are the best though because of the character customisation! I do like to strive towards levelling them up, feels like a real achievement and a badge of honour.

I really like all the trainer card designs so far, but if I had to pick one it'd be the ones in BW/B2W2 because you can actually set a nature that represents you on it. I really missed that little feature.

I never paid all that much attention to it, to be honest... mostly because there's usually not a lot you can do with it. I do remember ONE of the games gave you a lot of options for customization compared to normal, but I couldn't tell you which one it was.

I try to aim for the highest ranking card so far I've accomplished Emerald, Pt, SoulSilver, Whole Gen V, Alpha Sapphire and X version. :) All the efforts~ TuT

I honestly don't look at it too much but I wish you could keep the same trainer card from game to game. Now that would be super cool. Would give you a proper identity as a trainer and make it feel more personal overall. 8)

I always liked the picking a trainer class feature of the trainer card (for when you're in the Union Room). It's one of those simple customizations that's just a bit of fun.

I personally was never fond of the whole Trainer card ranking system where you had to put in an abysmal amount of effort just to get some extra stars and for your trainer card to change color. That kinda stuff never really mattered to me, so the only aspect of Trainer Cards that I cared about (even remotely) was cleaning my badges because I hate seeing them dirty. :<

Isn't it exactly that abysmal amount of effort thay makes the colors and stars(Gen III and IV only) worth it? :P

I completed my Trainer Card in my main White 2 version, including getting all the stars to get it to the White color. While some people don't care about these things, I know that they're at least nice motivation to make you want to do certain aspects of the game, like going to the battle facilities or the mini-games, that you likely wouldn't otherwise.

I rarely find myself looking at my trainer card, unfortunately. It would have been nice if they'd given us more reasons to look, haha.

I thought it was a really cool feature back when it first appeared in 3rd gen. Nowadays I don't take much notice to them, but I do really like the ones in X & Y that show your trainer customizations ^^

I only used it to check my money in the old games, but now I just stare at it.

I belive it was in my Pearl Version that I was trying to get the black/final Trainer Card, but I only made it up to Silver (3/5 criteria met) unfortunately. They've made it a lot easier in recent games, since I'm already a Silver rank in my Alpha Sapphire, I just have to do the Battle Maison to reach Gold rank. I'll probably get around to it... someday lol.

Also, Idk what it is but the trainer cards just aren't as fun as they used to be. I thought they were best when you could flip them over to see your W:L record, times traded, and write your signature.
