    Hi all,
I hope I'm posting this in the right section, I'm having a lot of trouble getting a trainer to do things after a battle. By things i mean moving around, disappearing, ect. These are things I know how to do with many characters, and ended up spending 3 days on just my intro town jamming it with events. But when it came time to make the first battle, after having the battle, I cant get the trainer to do anything. It seems like it wont activate the next event page (in that next page I have no graphic as want the screen to fade black, have the graphic disappear, then fade back to the colors.) I cannot for the life of me figure this out I've spent almost a whole day on it before I turned to these forums.

To give an exact idea of what i want to happen:
Player beats trainer, trainer says a quick text box, screen fades to black, screen fades back into color, the trainer is gone.

How i have been trying to go about it:
In the condition of the player beating the trainer (where in a basic trainer event the self switch is set to A) I make the screen fade out, set the switch to A, Page 2 of events (which is autorun) has the requirement of self switch A on, no graphic, screen fades back to color.)

I'm assuming it has to do something with the fact that the graphics stick around and say a text box after you defeat them if you press the action button, as that is the only response I get, its as if the second event page is never activated.

Thank you for reading this is really bothering me!

If you made your trainer using event comments, delete those comments. They're overwriting any changes you make to that event, such as adding move routes or erasing the event. The event comments are useful to make the basic trainer event, but once you have it, get rid of the comments as they prevent you from doing anything more with that event.
