I was wondering where people train on what games and what pokemon but i didnt see a thread so i thought i'd make one so here is the thread

Where do you train your pokemon on Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
    and what type of pokemon

I train electrics and grasses fishing at pacifilog with a super ros you get wailmers 28-40 carvahnas 26-35 i think and sharpedos 30-35

The best training place in Emerald is to continually battle Gabby the Reporter and Ty the Cameraman. This is a double battle that consists of Magneton and Exploud. You first battle them on Route 111. You then find them on Route 118, just across the water from Mauville. After that they will move to Route 120, east of Fortree. Your first Poke is a strong one with STAB Earthquake (Swampert) holding Amulet Coin or Lucky Egg. Your second Poke is the one you want to train, holding an Exp Share. Your third Poke should be one that flies or has Levitate, holding Amulet Coin or Lucky Egg.

You attack with EQ and then switch your training Poke with your third Poke. EQ should OHKO Magneton and typically Exploud, if you trained your first Poke correctly, missing the third Poke you switched in because it flies or has Levitate. Battle over. Now, since your training Poke had Exp Share, it will get 75% of the Exp Points earned. Amulet Coin will double the money you get. Lucky Egg gives the Poke holding it a 50% Exp Point increase. So, as you can see, you can level up a Poke rather quickly since you can continually battle them, following them from route to route until they will finally stay at Route 111. You can also battle more efficiently since when you battle the E4 you have to go through all 5 of them. Here, you battle only as many times as you want. Simply the best place to train ever.

I usually train at Victory Road and the Elite Four. Yea, give the Exp. Share to a Poke'.

The reporters are the best, Though I normally get bored and do something else then go back to versing the reporters.

the reporters are the best because they keep coming and geting stronger the guy with the magneton and the women with the exploud it's great experience don't you think so to!!!

repeatedly battling the e4 is a good way to get your exp. up. the best way IMO.

Battling the reporters really is the best way to level up weaker Pokes. The Lucky Egg item is a difficult to obtain, so maybe instead of using EQ and having to switch out, (which splits exp for the non-switching Poke,) you could use a STABbed Surf instead (if you're lazy about having to switch, like me). If the Surf is powerful enough, you can OHKO Exploud and Magneton without risking hurting the Poke you're training. The E4 can be nice too. Plus, you gain a fair amount of money when sweeping them with Amulet Coin holders. :)

Hmm... After reading those previous posts, I realized that I pretty much just summarized everything they said... LOL. Sorry. I get no credit.

What you don't understand is that by switching out the Poke you are training (that is holding Exp Share), it will now gain 75% of the Exp Points won in that battle instead of the 50% it would have received if you left it in and used Surf. In two battles with my method, your target Poke has earned 50% more Exp Points than doing it with your method.

As far as the Weak5, I like Gabby MUCH better since you can stop at any time. In the Weak5, you are stuck until you have beaten all of them. This provides you with quicker gains in less time, not to mention you rack up TONS of cold hard cash that you can then go to your local Game Corner and turn into VALUABLE TMs.

What I meant was that the Poke being trained should hold the Exp Share, and the Pokemon using the STABbed Surf in the 2-on-2 battle should hold the Amulet Coin. That way, the Exp Share holding Poke gets 75% exp and the Surfer gets 25% only.

Our methods are the same in terms of Experience rewards. It's just that mine is less dangerous and faster. I didn't mention the Exp Share in my previous post because I thought that it would have been implied. In every trainer's common sense to allow the trainee to hold it, that is.

On another note, the E4 give out more exp rewards than the reporters, in terms of time. While you have to continually Fly and Surf to their locations, and listen to them worship you as a trainer, after the auto-save of the E4, just reset the game and battle them again. It's proven faster...

Okay, I misunderstood that part. Actually, once you have battled Gabby enough times, she stays on Route 111, making it faster than the Weak5. Plus, you have the flexibility to quit at any time, instead of having to go through the entire Weak5 sequence, plus the lengthy end game sequence that I wish you could skip over and get straight to where the autosave happens. After you battle Gabby, simply hit B and you cruise through the sequence and you are on your way. I then ride up to Route 112, and then back to Route 111 for another battle.
