3rd Gen Transformation Cave (Altering Cave)

    Post all news or discoveries about Transformation Cave here.
     
    Well, I'll post some old news so that people who know nothing about it.

    The Altering Cave (Transformation Cave in Japan) is on Island 6/Fortune Island of the Sevii Islands West of Cinnibar. If you go in normally, all you shall find are Zubats 100% of the time.
    If you do something (we believe you scan an e-card - which won't happen in the European version), then you can make other Pokemon appear, which only appeared in Colosseum. The list is:

    Mareep; Aipom; Pineco; Shuckle; Teddiursa; Houndour; Stantler; Smeargle

    It could also deal with Colosseum seeing as all of those Pokemon can be obtained via trading with Colosseum (breeding may be required though).

    Wow, just wow ;( Why I have to get e-card or something like that again? Its not fair. They really can`t put Houndour without e-cards etc.?
     
    Well, now according to Serebii.net - it's to do with the Mystery Event that determines which Pokemon you can capture in the cave. This is still unconfirmed, but that's what they say at least. The Mystery Event code is different this time and is:

    "Link Together With All"

    This also determines (on a side note) that you can download the Mystic and Aurora Tickets so you can get the Johto Legendary Birds and Deoxys on Navel Rock and Birth Island.

    It seems as though all E-Card support has been cut out of the US version so Mystery Gift (like in G/S/C) seems to affect Altering Cave. It also seems possible that Nintendo will use Mystery Gift to give you the promotional tickets to go and get Lugia/Ho-Oh and Deoxys.

    And Houndour is not gotten only via Altering Cave, go get Colosseum, snag and purify the Shadow Houndoom and trade it to your game boy game to breed and get a Houndour in an eggshell. All of the Pokemon in Altering Cave (as I said before) can be gotten already thanks to Colosseum.

    Meh, wouldn't it make more sense for a "Transformation" Cave to have a bunch of Dittos instead of Zubats? <- My idea, no using it

    Well, since Shadow said all e-card's have been taken out of US and Europe (they would never have been in the European one... stupid NoE), I wonder how, and which Pokemon you will actually be able to encounter. I wonder if it's to do with your ID number...

    I got some of the game texts from the...wait what is it...oh Right! THE BLOODY GAME

    So if anyone has anything from the game thats also on Meowth's site, they therefore stole it?

    Maybe Because the ROM came out on the day before that?

    No, you cannot get the Aurora tickets via Wireless (Atleast not from friends) you MUST go to Nintendo hotspots and pour your money down their throats before they do you any justice. So your options are left to hacking, visiting New York, or wait for a miracle to happen and Nintendo to come to your state.
     
    Actually..Nintendo IS running around the states giving out Aurora Tickets. They'll be doing it during the Pokemon Rocks America tour thing...and we all know that you don't get the tickets using Wireless Connections. You get it from Nintendo through the use of Mystery Gift. It's what Satoshi and Shadow just said up there...
     
    Or Europe... NoE have no faith in the European market when it comes to Pokemon. They seem to be afraid to do anything in case no one shows up (which is a likely possibility). By the time any of the tickets come to Europe, Japan will already have the 4th generation, and America will be finishing Emerald... It's nuts! @_@

    As far as the month of October goes, it's Seattle (Oct 23) , Atlanta (Oct 9), and Minneapolis (Oct 16). No idea what SC stands for anyways.
